Hey people so I am going into my 3rd week of my Bud’s curing curing I have been burping them once A-day for about 5 to 10 minutes… So now should I start going every other day or Every couple days or do I continue to burp everyday still they are all still running between 60% to 64% RH in the jar There’s 1 or 2 that are about 58 or 59% percent but I just thought after the 1st 2 weeks I thought the burping started to change please let me know what you all do

you can stop burping. target rh is usually 62%. 64 is close enough but maybe burp one or two more days on that one.

It’s onlu.been two.weeks tho.i thought they.needed atleast 3 weeks to. Cure

curing is the part where you keep it in the jar, undisturbed for another 3 weeks or so

Hello. Based on everything I’ve read, I burp for 30 minutes for the first month or so (I go 6 weeks) after that, you can burp once a week until they go into long-term storage (if they make it that long- lol). The relative humidity goal is 62%, and after curing you can use Bovida packs to keep humidity stable… but do not use during cure. 3 weeks is generally considered the minimum. I know there are lots of opinions on this, but for a quality cure, these are solid guidelines. Little hydrometers are cheap and super useful. Oh, and keep those jars away from light.

@small-t-truth oh yea they have been in the dark the whole time. Well ill just continue to burp daily then for few more weeks then throw the bovida packs in there
