Building hydro system

Tomorrow I’m going to get my pvc for my hydro setup. Going to be using 1/2 pvc from the pump to the grow buck. What do I use to connect the pipe to the pump. From bucket to bucket I will be using 1 1/2 inch pipe. What is the highest from the bucket I should place those pipes. @peachfuzz

Return line should be as close to the bottom as possible…

@peachfuzz that’s what I figured. But I’m really having a hard time with the idea of cutting a hole in my tent. But if it must be done so be it. What if I did something like this in the picture or I was thinking I can undo the zipper. Not zip the side. Then put duct tape over where it zips

@peachfuzz these seals are a pain the the ass to get in the bucket and get the pipe thru! What’s the trick?

I haven’t used them, but check YouTube. I feel like I’ve stumbled across a few videos with tips on installing them.

Also, you should probably wait for peachfuzz than taking my word for this. But, I would try to keep that pipe relatively straight instead of going uphill

That looks like it will do. You should wait for the hydro guys though.

@peachfuzz do you make your sight gauge marks with the 2x 2 liters in it? I put 5 gallons in just to see it run and only once I put 5 gallons in I can see the water in the sight gauge

Yes everything looks good…
Yes … you want your air stones and 2 liter bottles in there while your filling it up to check water levels and maka your marks…
And you could always set both buckets on a couple of 2x4 or something to get them off the ground a few inches… just make sure that there both at the same height…
Also … use olive oil for putting things together…

@peachfuzz I have to take it apart and glue the pipes. I put water in it to see it run and it was leaking. And a few adjustments in the 1/2 inch pipe at the grow bucket and it should be good to go
