So this morning I had forgot to feed my plants before I went to work. When I came back they were very thirsty unsurprisingly. But when I felt the bud it was very soft compared to it’s normal state. So is being underwaterd correlated to this or are they 2 separate issues? First time I underwaterd in this flower cycle so it’s my first time noticing it

Buds are made of calyx, calyx swell with water. That’s why they shrink so much when drying. Understand?

Yes, buds will feel soft when not watered. They are drooping just like any other part of the plant.
