Buds are not maturing

i moved my 3 plants to 13 hours complete darkness on 8 Feb 23. They have buds but they don’t seem to be progressing. the seeds were gold leaf feminized. They plants are in pots and spend the night in my closet. this is the first time i have tried to grow and I don’t want to mess this up. Spent a lot of time and money so far.

You gotta do it right, you cant just throw your plants in a closet at night. You need a tent or a designated room where you can control the climate.

I am using standing grow lights that I got from Amazon. Same lights I have been using from the beginning.

They live in my master bath during the day with the fan on. Both the bathroom and closet where they sleep at night are the same temp as my house.

You need a better more powerful light. They seem to be progressing just really slow

Suggestions? I can’t hang from the ceiling. Needs to be something for the floor or bathroom counter.

No I don’t have any suggestions for that type of light.

Welcome to the community @Ruthie You might consider using a tent which has support bars in the top for hanging lights and exhaust fans. When you decide what size space you want to grow in keep us posted we will be glad to help you pick out a quality light.
Happy growing :v:

Get a cheap, portable clothes rack to hang lights from.

My low light experiment. She’s a 68 day old THC Bomb auto grown from her birth 68 days ago under a tripod mounted LED. $15 on Amazon. Pretty anemic looking plant. Never trimmed a leaf on this one.

Thanks. The rack I found in is 5 ft high and 4 feet long. I will be growing a max of 4 although I have 3 right now. The lights I have now are LED. And the ones I found on line so far are also LED. Is that okay?

You need better more powerful LED lights than what you are using would be my guess.

Also set your lights 12/12 they dont need 13hrs of darkness.

Just check the specs for actual current draw and not what they advertise as “equivalent” wattage. Oh and avoid the “blurple” type lights.
You will need around 150 watts full spectrum light per plant in your set up. That allows for each plant to have up to a 2’x2’ canopy and produce decent buds.
