Bud turned over night?

I have 3 buds on my outdoor unground plant that turned brown over night?
Spider mites?

Bud rot more likely.

It’s dry and crispy, and I have a known issue w/spider mites on my property.

I have another plant in another part of my yard that had what appeared to be bud rot a few weeks ago. It was gooy and rotting. This is dry and crispy. My Trichomes just began going amber so I may do a harvest w/bud wash? Was not planning to do this but I also have indoor plants and dont want bring mites into the house during the drying phase.

I just found several tops were brown and I looked is caterpillars or worms
