Bud forest and trichomes

Same here. I duct taped the plastic articulated holder to the top of a tall wine bottle box, aim it at something, and move it in and out to focus, and cross my fingers (and straighten the tin hat).

@Burnie-OKief @pillsbury You know this is what I’m picturing when you say ā€˜tin hat’ :joy:

@CalamityJane @johkohler That gooseneck inspired me to look for something similar, and wouldn’t ya know there’s one made to fit those Dino-Lite type usb microscopes. :man_facepalming:

If you can find something with an adjustable ( has a wheel & moves the scope in & out) it really help with focusing. I bought the stand and used the adjustable part for my rigged stand.

Burnie-OKief too. Sorry Burnie don’t know how to send it to both of you at the same time & after all this is your post. In some post in the past Calamity & I were discussing stem spliting to get more tricomes (maybe). I read that you shouldn’t split autoflowers so I thought about drilling holes in the stem. looked around and there are others out there doing it already. Must be that the 100 monkey theory really works! Anyhow was gonna wait till next grow and try it on a phototype plant, couldn’t wait. Drilled my auto three or four days ago & don’t know if this is why my buds are doing this or not, could be that they were going to grow buds on top of buds anyhow? nSorry the pictures are sideways, I should have adjusted my hat first

Also could be that I don’t know what I’m looking at as this is my 1st grow.

@pillsbury to tag people just put the @ symbol before their name and you can tag multiple people but individually. Like @Burnie-OKief

I don’t know what is causing you concern with your buds? They look ok to me…:woman_shrugging:

Please make the appropriate hat adjustments prior to uploading next time :joy:
