Bruce Autos - First Time Grower

Hi y’all,

You guys have been great with all your support and answering all of my questions. Thank you for all of your kindness! I’m about 3 weeks in from the start of germination with my Bruce Autos. I have kept at 70-80deg and 60-70RH (in the north winter, so some heat and humidity have been supplemented lightly) since we went seedling. I have an 18/6 cycle with watering using purified water every 3-4 days in a set of Jiffy Pots from A Pot 4 Pot. I’m wondering if I repot to my 5gal pots at this point or wait longer. Here is my recent photo from today after watering. Any thoughts? Advice?

You can repot them whenever you wish. I do 2 transplants each grow so I can bury the plant up to its neck each time. It helps to have a more stable plant.

Be careful to not overwater. Those peat pots retain water and cannabis needs wet/dry cycles in soils.

@MidwestGuy thanks! I’ve been leaning toward watering at 4 days with the wrapping getting pretty white and the top being to get fairly dry. I hope that’s on the safer side?

The general rule I follow is if I think I might be overwatering, then I am probably overwatering. Water, let the soil dry out, then water again. Roots thrive with oxygen, and the dry period really helps.

She had a rough start, got lost underground chasing her own tail so I had to dig her up and show her silly azz the path to the light lol. Then I had to stretch the coil out of her lol. We’ll see how it shakes out when I transfer her.

When I used the jiffy pellets with the p4p kit, if the pellets seemed dry, I would dribble a few drops of water here and there onto the pellets’ sides with me holding the pellet at a slight angle, if I’m explaining that clearly. So, not much water is needed, as mentioned above.

I transplanted them around day 10-ish/when the coty and 1st set of serrated leaves were about the same size, per p4p’s instructions. However, there are different ways to go about that, as described above.

Congrats on growing!

Be sure when you transfer to remove the seed pod fabric. I’ve learnt that lesson the hard way. Plants got roof bound because couldn’t penetrate the fabric. Pushed the pods and root balls out the top of soil.

Welcome to the happy zone. I just harvested my first p4p kit, we did banana kush auto under a hlg 300 rspec. We dried 3 nice zips. :+1:

Will be a fly on the wall if ya don’t mind. Curious to see how the Hulk turns out in a p4p setup

Thanks for keeping an eye on us! My gals got slightly :face_with_peeking_eye::man_facepalming:t3: overwatered and I’m doing my best to leave them alone for the next several days. I was this close to transplanting to a 5gal, but since they seemed a little stressed from the overwater, I am giving it a few days before I make the move. Any ideas on helping things dry out? My humidity is a little lower right now (~55RH) temps in the 70s and I have an oscillating fan going. Would you take these ladies out of their humidity dome and let them dry out more? This is a question to anyone who feels like saving me😉

Hi all - it’s been a few days since I think I overwatered (too few days between watering (~4days)). This is how my girls look… a little rough… I last watered 5 days ago. Any thoughts on what’s going on here? They don’t look like they are happy:( Any help would be Appreciated!

@MidwestGuy @Fieldofdreams @Twelve1 @Mosca @NCgrower Hi! Please see above (sorry, still learning how to post well!): Temp at 72, RH 60-65, light cycle 18/6 with 100% 3feet high from canopy, oscillating fan and in-line fan at 1, water is RO purified. Thanks for any help you can provide:)

You’ve tagged some good peeps. My seeds popped, my roots are exposed under the jiffy pellet, how long exposed before transplanting? Will post :camera_flash:

Have domed with very good humidity.
