Brown leaf tip(rolls inwards) and extents along the edges with mild yellow discoloration

Hi…I am beginner grower.i am facing this issue ( image attached). Please help me …

My strain type is white widow regular seed type, this girls 4 weeks old and rest are 2 weeks old … i am using 250watts led full spectrum lights… and using nutrients solution grow(2-1-6),micro(5-0-1) and bloom(0-5-4)… i have attached the feeding chart… please help me …

Howdy AJ
In what order are you mixing nutrients?Three part nutrients should be mixed Micro then grow then bloom.
Add Micro to water first ,stir thoroughly, then grow, then bloom.
What is EC and Ph of nutrient solution?

Howdy Hashtonbutcher,Thanks you for taking interest in my post and helping me with this issue .
Yes ,i add micro first and mix well ,then add grow and bloom and let it sit for 10 mins and check the ph ,as I am using tap water usual ph is 7-7.7, after adding nutrients it may go to 5-5.5 … my ph adjustment are between 5.3 -6.3.I don’t have the Device to measure EC … had made an order ,it’s on its way … U have any idea why the leaves are Brown.

You are in hydro?
Are you de-chlorinating water?
If not just put in bucket and leave to gas off overnight or use air pump and bubbler for at least two hours
How many ml per liter of nutrient are you mixing?
I had same problem and was not enough nutrients.
Is your hydro being top fed with nutrients?
Really need an EC pen to measure your nutrient levels.
I set my Ph to 5.8 and let it fluctuate between 5.7 and 6.2 and check twice daily.
Humidity also is critical, too high and your plant will not take up nutrients from solution.
What is your humidity in grow area?

Yes, hydroponics system.
I am not de chlorinating the water… straight up well water to my home water tap .
Yes , i always let the water sit overnight.
I am going per the feeding chart ,i.e general growth purpose ( 1.3ml/L of micro, grow and bloom)
I was not sure and pretty scared if this is due to nute burm , because i followed aggressive feeding method for a week i.e(2.6ml/l of micro,3.9ml/l of grow and 1.3ml/l of bloom), the symptoms persist, now changed to general purpose from yesterday, waiting for result and scared
Yes , i check pH of nutrient water, early morning and late evening ( fluctuate between (5.8-6.3)
Yes, humidity is always like 40-55 ,never goes below or above it . Goes higher during rainy season, but never above 60 .

An update on my hydroponics setup .kindly refer and help me…
STRAIN: WHITE WIDOW REGULAR STRAIN
METHOD: HYDROPONICS
VESSEL:BUCKETS
PH OF WATER : 5.3-6.3 (after adding the nutrients)
TDS:NA ( WILL UPDATE IN FUTURE)
INDOOR HYDROPONICS
LIGHT SYSTEM: 250 WAT FULL SPECTRUM LED LIGHTS
TEMP:DAY(84 F -91 F),NIGHT(80F-82F),it’s preety hot climate, i am using oscillation fan(24*7), soon will be adding cool gel bag into the water media.
VENTILATION SYSTEM: 1)6 INCH EXHAUST FAN WITH 4 CARBON FILTER USING SIZE REDUCER HAS CFH OF 850
2)4 inch inline fan to bring in fresh air from outside has CFH OF 198( runs on low settings)
AC : I USUALLY RUN IT ONLY FOR 6 HOURS A DAY …
CO2: AN INLINE FAN BRINGS IN FRESH AIR FROM OUTSIDE,NO CO2 BAG IN USE

I would wait until you get your EC pen and then you can get an idea what is going on.
I start off seedlings around 0.6 EC then gradually increase once the plant starts growing, 3-4 sets of leaves , I have an EC of about 1.2.
EC now in my tank is 1.8

Hydro being top fed ? By meaning adding extra nutrients every week? .i add cal-mag as extra supplement and spray silica twice a day
TDS pen order is on the way

No, I mean is your nutrient solution being fed up to top and let run back down into tank.
Are you aerating solution with air pump?
Have your roots grown out of basket into solution?
Temperature of solution is important also,do not want it over 21Celsius- 69f.
I also use hydroguard in solution as well .

That might be a problem AJ.

Wow,Hashtonbutcher.Your strains are looking gorgeous…that’s a lot of love you have given them .
Yes , i will check the EC plus water temperature and update you .
No,my hydroponics is not top feed
Yes,i have air pump aerating the soultion
No, I don’t have hydrogard, but I am using seaweed, humic, fulvic acid for the roots
Yes , i know they can handle max to 84F,if it goes beyond that i will turn on the AC unit.
I will attach the plant pic with there roots …

As u can see the one to the left in the back is same week old as the small looking ones,
but this beauty shows less Browning of leave and has root in the water, which the other small one don’t have

As u can see the one to the left in the back is same week old as the small looking ones. But she had developed roots in water and shows less symptoms than others. yesterday after lot of reasearch, i thought it’s best i change to soilless media like coco peat or coir … is it best option??
And is this Browning of tip and edges is due to heat stress or other deficiency??

That is too hot for nutrient solution AJ,needs to be cooler than that.
I only have one in Hydro and I do not let that get over 21 Celsius -70f
I think you have heat stress AJ,
Plant is trying to stay cool and sucking up too many nutrients.
Need to keep the solution cooler.

I am planning to shift to soilless media like coco peat or coir with perlite…
I will update you my progress
Thank you so much for your time and help,I really appreciate it…

That looks like way too much nutes in the water. Then again I only use GH products. The nitrogen heavy nutes carry more of the red tent. Just seems very colorful for such a small plant to me.

Hi.Jim. Thanks for taking interest in my post and helping with the issue.
Nute burn, but the lower leaves are going Browning at the tip and edges .leaves have very mild yellow tone
But nute burn only affects the tip not the entire leave I guess so … And I am giving very mild feeding like 1.3ml/l .

I’m brand new to this too. As I said I only have experience with the General Hydroponics brand at the moment. I know when my well was that red-toned, I was running around 1200 ppm with a full dose of Nitrogen at 5.6ml/g. They loved that for about two weeks and then decided it was too much partying. Took me a couple of days to figure it out and a week to adjust down to the 500 range. Now they just continue to less nutes on almost a daily basis. I am reducing my nutes about ever other day at the moment. One is a couple of weeks out and the other around another month.

Growing has been a lot of fun. I expect it will remain so.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the tip … i should have to bring them to suitable ppm . And the red tone is due to cal mag supplement…

I use CaliMagic too. I started at 5ml/g and now run about 4ml/g and keep a solid 5.8 pH.
