Broken stalk on autoflower

So I was just moving my gorilla glue auto flower around and accidentally snapped the main stalk about 6 inches from the dirt, they are about 40 days old and started to flower about a week and a half ago. I put duct tape on it and tied a string to the ceiling of the tent to the stalk to help hold it up. Freaking out, any advice or tips???

Honey. Locally sourced if possible.

Aloe has certain vitamins/components that assist in healing.

Hopefully someone else chimes in. But for the most part some duct tape and properly placed string can get the job done. If u see it begin to wilt, Id recommend tossing the top in a cup of water then into some soil to attempt to clone. But its still early yet. Close eye

Every one of mine that broke this year (shrek hands  new grower too) that was fixed with honey, LIVED. the ONE i did NOT put honey on and still taped, didn’t. honey has healing (and rooting it seems) properties in plants, don’t ask me what, or how because i don’t know i just know it works. It was a suggestion i saw online back when i broke mine and tried it because i have a neighbor who KEEPS me with local honey from her bees. The one thing i DIDN’T have, was aloe gel. HAD an aloe plant but now know what killed it (another story  ). That is a healer, as @PurpNGold74 said and ALSO a rooter. 1/4cup honey, 2 tbsps aloe gel, and 1 tsp cinnamon (natural antifungal) and stick in dirt and it’s a natural cloning/rooting gel compound  Could see it rejuvenating “life” in repairing broken plants also just don’t know the science or terminology to sound like a fart smella about it, i mean, a smart fella

Honey is my go to also. I also got a roll of the white stretchy sticky tape the phlebotomists use to hold the cotton ball in place after a blood draw.

Honey with just a little bit of Azos is my go to . Raw local honey from the Farmers market is what I use . Split my big plant this year drizzled that mix in the split wrapped it in a old rag and put a hose clamp on it and much to my surprise it survived and is thriving

The split was probably 5 or 6 weeks ago and it almost is like it did better afterwards

I must be the only moron who just used Clear packing tape. so far so good. One plant has been effectively murdered three times now, still kicking. This one here:

No man all it needs is to be able to hold it together until it heals . The wide clear packing tape may cut the oxygen off and cause a problem long term with the stem or bark but I’m not sure that will happen . They are a weed and are much tougher then we think for abuse they actually handle accidents better than the wrong ph most of the time

This is all on purpose to start the process of super cropping

@Oldstoner Great ideas I wish I had thought of that…I knew about honeys properties for humans and animals (that it helps cure infections etc.) But It slipped my mind? Must have been “sampling” the product that day :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:…Also love the chickens…They must serve a great deal of good ,their poop…they eat bugs and hopefully dreaded1…Great read!!

Have you ever “stitched” a plant back together that has been completely decapitated? And do you have a thread about super cropping cuz I was wondering about it and im guessing they don’t just put the “hall of fame” thing next your name for the hell of it lmao

I snapped a main branch on my auto and i used soft wire tie but wat ur doin is good to as long as the stem is back in place and both parts are touching each other it should be fine you can go to the nursery and get some grafting tape and use that if you want to

I cut off my arm once, put some honey on it, a little duct tape…and it looks odd (got it on backwards) but it works just fine now

Honey does wonders

Little things like a paint stir stick can be split or broken down to the right size and a hose clamp above and below the break with a splint like a bone they heal good just will need support
