Unknown bag seed
Medium is Coco coir( Holland basics “the Coco” rinsed and buffered) I mixed 25L of the Coco with 7litres of worm castings added and mixed in a decent amount of perlite and added 3 tablespoons of Gia Green’s organic all purpose fertilizer per 1Gal of medium (comes out to about 25 tablespoons)
Using 5gal fabric grow bags my total mixed medium only came to 8.45gal so both bags are shy of 5 gal but north of 4
pH, PPM/TDS and EC unmeasurable
Indoor 4’x2’x5’ vivosun grow tent
400watt MH for lighting set 18’’ away
No way to measure heat or humidity
Only a 100cfm booster fan for exhaust with a passive intake and an oscillating fan moving air around inside the tent
I’m patching the grow together as I can afford it I was going to upgrade my exhaust system next or should I buy all the measuring and monitoring equipment first ?
The fact you csnt measure ph I’m guessing that’s your issue… untill you can measure your ph … the make a powder reagent with a sediment test… that’s first step… and subsequent steps after you need to be making sure you are entering soil with proper ph weather ItS tap water ir food mix it’s very necessary… if the ph is too high or low …your plant won’t be able to eat called a ph nutrient lockout … when mixing soil you need to be aware of what your mixing and how to buffer it to proper ph before planting
Yes I’m aware of all that these are just bag seeds Im running untill I have everything I need should I go exhaust system or pH pen TDS meter soil moisture and pH meter plus thermo/hygrometer first?
Ph first if you dont have ph in check nothing else will matter
@fano_man I bought a cheap re agent test just to get me by for now. I’m using melted snow (can’t collect rain water in a Canadian winter lol) and brought it up to a pHbetween 6 and 7
You want your ph at 6.4-6.5 to have your plants to be able to absorb and to be able to take up nutrients. I take it that you’re using test strips? That can be hard to judge sometimes but it can get you close.
Im using organic nutrients in the Coco I’ve read it’s a little more forgiving when it comes to pH
Beutiful… the ph reagent is really easy right… it doesn’t have to PERFECT 6 3 to 6.6 fine…
Indeed they will keep looking up
Where ever there is a node (a leaf attached to a stem a branch will eventually grow out of it as long as its undamaged… (there hard to damage)
