Blackmoons on the rise again grow season 3 2021 - 2022 woo hoo

Latest update
31st October 2022
Looking this afternoon before work
It actually looks like what I did the day before to Himalaya gold has helped as I saw a tiny part of a white tail exposing itself.
Still nothing to speak of with the godfather.
I had a scratch around in the remaining pots that I put the Durban Poison seed and the critical orange punch seed.
The critical was way deeper than I had placed it. But it seemed to be firmly in place like it’s tap root was sinking down into the soil so I covered it back over slighty.
Durban was really close to the surface still had it’s shell on but was upright and firmly in place.
I’m hopeful that when I get home tomorrow night I’m gunna see green leaves.
Also today I made up a mix to fill a 10 gal fabric pot and planted my pineapple glue auto seedling in it.
Yay

sometimes if I think a seed is old or questionable, I put a piece of sandpaper in the bottom of a match box, put the seed in it an shake it a bit to perforate the seed shell a bit & let the water in easier for a better chance of germination.

I have sliced a seed hull with razor blade before to assist, after soking and no tail.I do believe i found this information on the germinating seed on the ILGM Site.

Yep.
I have read that some where too.
Himalaya gold a pretty new purchase not to say it’s been in its packaging for ages.
Can’t remember the company off top my head.
I get home tonight can’t wait to see positive progress.
The godfather I got 5 +1 year before last.
Had 4 attempt to get a strike last year.
1 got as far as the first 2 leaves then died
This year I’ve tempted it twice.
No luck just bad batch seeds I’d say from wse due to ilgm no longer sending to NZ
Thanks for your support
Cheers

Gotta have a steady hand for sure. Not like you can stick it in the vice lol

That’s what I was thinking I don’t think I could hold it steady .Look’s like you have a good start for your next grow .I accidentally burned up a sshaze, white widow and Cindy99. I forgot to go back and put their domes back on .I’m replacing them with a Tangie, another sshaze and then a sshaze that the seed came frim one of my sshaze so could be a boy so backed it up with another white widow. I hope all 4 do good I need to get my jars filled up more .Dang it you know how it is can’t stay out of my jars being retired and 70 years old I’m home a lot. :woman_facepalming::woman_facepalming::woman_cartwheeling::man_cartwheeling::woman_cartwheeling::man_cartwheeling:

Sad news folks
Got home from my 25 hr shift check on seedlings and Frisian dew stem damped off.
She was the first to pop both tail and soil.
It’s so difficult to know what there needs are for the time I’m away.
I don’t want them drying out I don’t want them over watered
So I put a bit of water in the tray they were in to wicker if need be.
It would seem it didn’t need it.
Good news is my Durban Poison broke surface over that same time frame.
So that’s exciting.
Still waiting for that Himalaya gold seed to pop it’s tail.
It’s almost like the first leaves are bursting out the shell before the tails popping out.
Maybe I should put her in soil.
Then we still waiting on Panama to break soil that went in was it yesterday or the day before can’t remember now.
Anyway that’s it from me.
Guess I gotta decide do I drop another
Frisan dew seed.
Mmmmmmm

Totally know what you mean.
Was with my wife yesterday in a north south running steam banks east west.
Not most ideal for growing but saw a spot that had potential late afternoon sun
I ask my wife what’s the time.
She replied what you need to know what time it is.
Oh just wondering dear just wondering
Street festival in Waynesville that’s funny from my memory of Waynesville.
Glad your keeping well and getting out and about exploring.
Those smokey mountains pretty amazing area for sure.

Oh @SheilaT
2 of the most wanted apart from the others lol
Critical orange and Himalaya gold
Not popped yet.
Critical went strait into soil
I know it grew a tail as after all the others that went strait into soil and are on there way I had a little dig.
But the days roll on and my hope is fading for a positive result.
Himalaya gold I started in water then to moist paper towel
It was emerging so slowly
I did a bit of surgery on the seed with scalpel
Split the seam.
Then I put it in soil a few days later after a long haul at work and noticed the very tip of it’s tail broke off transferring it to soil.
So I don’t know if it recovers from that or that’s the end of life for it.
But 8m doing everything I can to get them above soil.
Heat pad under them soft light above them.
I’m thinking maybe I drop them again.
I killed my Frisian dew that was first out the gate to get a tail and break surface.
Must got too wet while I was on one of my long 25 hr shifts at work.
They do nothing for my germination success

The hardest part about putting them directly in soil is resisting the urge to peek. Lol! If I do it usually does it in. I don’t touch until I see the seed shell rise above then if it needs help I’ll remove the pod. Your a braver man than I

That looks great sometimes they do better if we leave them alone .Before I knew anything about training plants I had 4 really big plants .The first grow we had inside we didn’t know and those plants grew lights on 24/7 .Also let them veg way too long flipped to 12/12 and let them grow and stretch that’s when I grew a tall sativa mystery seed and it was over 5 ft cause didn’t know about training. That’s where my name Amazon comes from that’s what I called her ,Amazon .Makes me wonder if maybe that way was better but I don’t have room for tall .I’m going to start a new journal ill tag you in when I finish Happy Growing. :sunflower::sunflower:
