In your last picture it seems that there is an abundance of moisture at the stalk.
It’s common that dwc Growers will stop using the top feed feature after the roots reach the water,so the plant won’t have issues.

You need to have a 1 inch air gap between the water and net cup… 
Yea it is dry i have to make a drip system. Trying to figure out how to make it
