Gents - I have enough left over 2nd and 3rd cut flower from 3 recent grows. It is still well preserved - but I have enough on hand that I’d like to condense it to hash or some form of easy to process concentrate. I’m really ignorant to the many of the new liquid cartridge technology so I’d like to keep it easy to do it myself. I don’t. mind putting a couple of hundred bucks into it if it helps with ease of use. My main objective is to condense the flower so I don’t have so much on hand. Something easy to store and hide is my my objective. Appreciate any insights.
Hands down one of the best hashish makers in the world. I would suggest watching his Art of Hash youtube series. 4 all together. It tought me town.
The guy is a mecca of knowledge.

With cash to spend you are about to get some good suggestions. I personally take all prime buds for smoke and use a Levo2 to infuse oils etc. with popcorns and shake/trim. A brownie a day replaces my rso as a med. Last batch cold pressed organic coconut oil with a little lecithin to bind the oil to water. The levo will dry decarb and infuse 14g in 1 run into up to 1 3/4 cup liquid. That is with an extra pod. I bought the kit with everything. No regrets. I ran the same oil 3 times. Just refilled pods each time. A 1-1 oil replacement is strong. I double that and make little brownie bites mostly.

I’ll be watching these soon. I get worried about a messy process my lack of fine motor skills. That and bifocals kill me

So you add oil and dry flower and it makes oil for cooking or whatever? Can you make the vape cartridges? I had no idea I could get into this for a couple hundred…

No smokeables. Only oils/honey/butters etc. Have to have something oil soluble. Lecithin helps binding in recipes. Candy gummy anything you can mix your poison in. Can put a teaspoon infused honey in coffee. Can pour an olive oil infused dressing on salad etc. Dries and decarbs like a boss.

U should be able to make the oil carts for smoking u just need to get the correct oil for smoking u might wanna check on @Caligurl concentrates blog. Prolly get all the ideas u need there. Good luck

I’ve not made carts, I’ve only made dabs for a dab pen. Just bought hubby a Seahorse and he really likes it but people tell me I should splurge for the Seahorse Pro… Maybe @emgoldslo? Or @Nicky would be able to help with carts?

If you see my blog, I make the dabs from QWET using a Source Turbo, but the first example I show just uses a pan and a fan to evaporate the alcohol.

I made carts a couple times. Not enjoyable for me and won’t do it again.
I bought terps and liquidizer from east coast terpenes dot com. I also bought a kit for filling the carts from them.
I had issues getting the proper consistency.
Get some Bubble bags to make hash then get a heat press to make rosin. The rosin is easy to store in the fridge.
I bought some ceramic cartridges and liquidizer off Amazon. You’ll need some syringes to add the liquidizer and to fill the cartridges.

You could invest in a alcohol evaporator ( cheaper) or rosin press( more expensive but better quality) to make decently easy extracts

I have a rosin press, if your goal is carts (which it shouldn’t be because they are expensive and very wasteful hence bad on the environment and your pocket boom) then do not buy a rosin press buy a source turbo.
Better yet invest 3k and get a real closed loop pressure butane column but most are looking to pay less the 3k up front.
Rosin is the best cannabis extract pure to form that doesn’t use solvents and making hash rosin is really the only way to go but this would be using a nector collector like the seahorse or honey badger, amongst others.
Rosina quite a bit of work and it’s an art, source turbo is easier for a more concentrated product without the oils and fats that rosin has Wich makes loading carts a huge hassle but it’s solvent based and that means you should probably get a vaccume chamber and a digital hestpad to bubble off and suck out as much trapped dolven as you can.
