Beginning a indoor grow

I recently purchased a jack’s nutrients and wanted to start off with 15-6-17.
I am doing a 5-gallon dwc.

when do I start feeding my clones this formula, before I transplant them into their buckets or when they’re in their buckets?

I have to start feeding part A at some point.
I know the plants need to uptake certain feeds at certain times in its life.
So I want to make sure my feeds are on point and are the correct dose each week.

I plan to just keep my water level at a certain level by just adding solution when I need to top it off.

Any wisdom regarding the 15-6-17 and 5-12-26 feeds would help a lot.

Thanks

Clones should be treated as adults.

I use part A, and Part B in soil and Coco, but I would imagine it’s the similar recipe for hydro.

Per gal mixture is
3.6g of Part A
2.4g of Part B
1.2g of Epsom salt

I can’t take credit for the recipe. It’s imSICKkid’s. I think Jacks wants a similar recipe close to that.

I have 15-6-17 thats the first feed the clones need.
when do I start 15-6-17 and when do I finish that and start 5-12-26 (Part A)
It doesn’t have specific directions on the packaging.

?

Let me do some checking on the Jacks website, I’m not familiar with that clone recipe. @imSICKkid may have some input, but I’m not sure if he utilizes that recipe. I think he uses only A, B, and epsom.

I dont use any of the other bags. Clones, seedlings, veg plants, and flowering plants all get the same recipe that @Covertgrower mentioned above. And I’ve always had fantastic results without any sort of hiccups. I’ve roughly grown around 30 to 40(including males) without a single one having any issues ever.

I bought it so I want to use it.
I might make adjustments later.

“Like a shotgun start for your new plants - this formula will help promote strong, and fast root growth and expansion. Best used for fertilizing young seedlings, transplants, clones, and newly set rooted cuttings.”

that’s the description. I’m assuming from what it says its meant for clones when they’re transplanted to the dwc. but how long before I start using part A is what I’m wondering… i will obviously have to change solutions because mixing the 2 doesn’t seem like is the correct way of feeding from 1 stage to another…?

@imSICKkid

I guess you can try it on the clones. Then whenever you transplant them I guess you can switch. I’ve never dabbled with any other bags so at this point I’m talking out my ass. I do know that my buddy started using the ultraviolet bag during mid flower and his plants stalled out.

I plan to use it for 2-3 weeks after it’s transplanted then switch to Part A

@imSICKkid

I plan to use 15-6-17 when i transplant the clones for 1-3 weeks.
till i see good root development.
then switch to part A

when do you mix in part B and epson salts?
do you mix salts with part A?

I also got 7-15-30 and 10-30-20 blossom booster to finish with.

I might add root excelerator and sensizym and flush with final finish.

I am hoping for good results.

@Covertgrower

Im wondering when does part B and the epson salts come into the recipe?

@Covertgrower

Part B is ALWAYS mixed last.

A
C
B
In that order.

ok. im mixing part A 4-5 days into week 5.
when does C and B get added to the recipe?

@Covertgrower

At the same time you use A and C.

no doubt. thats strange. you’d think it would be A,B,C
C represents epson salts. how much per gallon?
no instructions what the heck is jacks thinking.

then what we supposed to do with part B

You add part B last. It’s the calcium/nitrogen.

how much salt per gallon?
im assuming part B goes in itself.

@Covertgrower

1.2 grams of the epsom salt.
