Beginner light schedule 24 -> 18/6

A question from a starting grower;

I started plants on 24 hour light cycle with a small light. After a few
weeks I got a 600 watt and continued with the 24 hour. Can I set lights
to 18 and 6 ? Will the change cause them to bloom? Or with 18 hours of
light from 24 hours keep them in veg. growth. Thanks.

18/6 will keep them in veg , it’s not until 12/12 they go into flower .
