Battery/sulfuric acid for PH Down?

Howdy gang. Curious as to a cheaper solution to $30 a gallon ph down.
I’ve been doing some reading and seeing people say yes its fine and no don’t do it when it comes using sulfuric acid from the auto parts store and making your own Ph down with distilled water.

any input is appreciated.

Same problem. I need to educate myself on that.

Do you think vinegar hold oh in a 55 gallon water drum for 3-4 days? I just don’t know.

Oh wow, you’re mixing a lot. Yeah, I doubt vinegar will hold the ph that long

Citric acid is cheap and safer to use IMO.

This will do a LOT.

I’d go with the citric acid over battery acid.

Phosphoric acid is safe.

I just picked up some citric acid mixed up a couple teaspoons in a jar with some water and started adding some to see how much it would bring it down. I was at 6.4 anyway so not sure if I really need to adjust. I’d like to get some waterings in around the 6 zone and see how they react as they have been getting 6.3-6.4 almost the whole time.
