Im all about quality these days. I trim my plants alot better than i did in my first 2 grows. Its still tough for me to chop healthy parts off my plants. In the end its makes a big difference in over all quality of your buds.
@BigTrout im happy you found that bud rot early. I learned most this stuff from @plumbdand . those mysterious yellow leaf indicaters. Helps to find stuff early.

You only have a problem if you find there rotten little din they start in the bud near the stem, a few drying leaves dosnt necessarily mean ya have an infestation

Sure is nice to go into your stash this late in the year and be opening fresh bags of last years grow. They are in perfect shape in those grove bags. I add boveda packs in early july. Fresh as can be 50 to 58%

Thanks for the worm tips gang. I’m used to eating Mezcal worms, so no biggie. I beat the worms to the punch and killed all the leaves myself this year. Now I have to go UV hunting at night for the glowing bastards.:rofl: Nice stash WB! :sunglasses:

The caterpillars burrow into the buds and eat and poop. The sugar leaves will die from the inside of the bud outward instead of from the tips inward. If you see that happening on a cola a few inches from the tip. Theres a caterpillar in there causing the but rot.

I wash all my bud when I harvest. I use baking soda and lemon juice and water in the first bucket then peroxide and water in the 2nd bucket and just water in the 3rd bucket

Y’all are so helpful here.
Question, is there any detrimental effects from the peroxide that might be avoided if there is no mold or rot, or just as well to do it?

Peroxcide and water is harmless and will prevent mold from happening during the drying process
