Auto's on Auto-Pilot

O you are beyond modest! Your work speaks volumes. You don’t have to toot the horn lol. Loving the grow porn! Keep them pics flowing! You are one of the select growers who really take the time to explain everything you are doing. It makes things for us FNG’s really easy to follow! Thank you.

I cannot thank you folks enough for the recognition. I (most certainly) Love Growing Marijuana!! I am humbled and blown away by the success I’ve had which, in many ways came right from this forum. From lighting advice to pest and disease control to harvest techniques. I was so “green” to it all, so again, I appreciate the kind thoughts and you taking the time to express them.

I am a wordy dewd in fact, I got reprimanded just yesterday following a conference call. My ex supervisor told me it was unprofessional to offer so much information and that I needed to learn less is more. LMAO.
He’s probably right in certain contexts however, it’s nice to know my passionate, detailed approach to things is appreciated 48

@GreenThunder ya got me there, more like half a joint, I was busy and that’s “good pot” gotta be careful with the blueberry before dark :sleeping_bed::sleeping_bed::sleeping_bed::sleeping_bed::sleeping_bed: hahahaha Tonight doob was laced with bubble hash and wow, I sounded like I needed to give it up with the hacking I was doing LOL

I also have a tendency to overshare though I am getting (a little) better at thinking first.

Hahaha @GreenThunder it’s not hard to visit a few threads on here and have a good portion of my life story hahahaha oh well, YOLO. I’ve always been like that when I get a snoot full of good pot. My Dad would have said “your mouth moves like a whippoorwills a**.” Dear ol’ Dad hahahaha (oops sorry Dad)

The only time I’m not filled with words is when speaking to an officer during a traffic stop. It’s one of their techniques. Less is more. And anything you say can be held against you… lmao. So I dont know nothing!
Seriously though, we all appreciate your detailed journal @Screwauger and heck, I even enjoy the food subject as well. (Because I love food)
Cannabis related, I find that food has a different texture, flavor and experience while medicated. This can be dangerous because I already love food. Sorry for the rambling. Haha. Had a minute waiting for the grill to fire up.

All I can say is those damn hot dogs were delicious! We felt like we were camping with a fire in the pit, nice smell of woodsmoke and Hofmann HD’s cooked on a skewer. I had two and a handfull of potato chips, it was a meal. On some of this great medicine we grow, I could literally eat hourly but I’ve been proud of my willpower to just drink my low cal lemonade!!

Keep 'em green folks!! Thanks @Covertgrower and all those stopping by!

I stick to the script. This should work in any state. Use it if you ever get pulled over.

It’s a beautiful day here in Maine. Clear blue skies, an occasional cloud and 80°.
I told my boss I might take off a couple hours early if I “got caught up.” Makes it sound good but am bugging out early regardless.

No pic updates today as not much has changed. I can tell you that BBA, all by herself, has consumed 3.25 gallons of nutrient solution since I added the extra base nutes Tuesday evening. That is a ton of juice and she is a monster auto!!!

Will be mixing up another 5 gallon batch for each plant in the autopots (BBA and PHA). I plan to keep them on the big bud and bud candy supplements for another week on these two then switch the big bud out for Overdrive for the rest of the grow until flush. That’s the plan anyways.

The PHA in the ODAP (outdoor autopot) is doing what the AK did when I took her outside. All of the tops are lime green and past research told me this was signs of rapid growth/stretch. Everytime I see it I want to give it a N boost but I will show patience and let it get righted around. It has to be fairly shocking to go from the tent to the yard and I gave this plant little to no “hardening off” period (1 full day of overcast skies then into the yard which get about 7 hours direct sun from 10-5). It’s growing and drinking so…

The plants in the ground are not getting any “boost” nutrients currently but @Willd is going to advise me tomorrow when to give them shots of powdered kool bloom (P/K boost).

Otherwise, status quo; all systems green!! Peace folks and Happy Friday!!

Those are slick for sure. Not available when I bought mine but I am interested in checking them out too. I do know a couple of growers who tried the XL pots (which I think are 7 gallon pots) and the plants got to huge for their tents. Those with “rooms” vs tents would do okay. Point is, I will be interested to see the monsters you grow with a gallon larger pot than my 4 gallon’s. Woohoo, autopots!!!

He is cute as the dickens (when he wants to be). He can fold that lower lip down over his chin when he gets ready to rock and roll (that’s when I hand him off to Momma). @dbrn32 Thanks!!!

Agreed with dbrn thats one good looking little guy

Watching your thread everyday makes me soooooo impatient lol! Cant wait to takes these AP out again!!! Where I am moving I will be limited to 5’ tents (low basement height), how did you like scrogging with aps? I know you werent using AN’s back then but im wondering what would be my best bet to mix AP’s with low profile tents considering last grow they overgrew my 6’ tent.

I mixed up a fresh 5 gallons of nutes for the BBA before I turned in last night. I left the tap off on the res as I was too tired and knew 6 hours would be a nice “dry out” period for the pot.

**Ooooo Baby! **
pH 5.9
ppm 1300

1130 after four days was not really burning tips in a noticeable or significant way. I am not setting out to burn them but BBA seems to want or be able to handle, these higher ppm readings. I added Sensizyme to my mix and as a result, I am still at 1.75ml/L on base nutes. 2,75ml/l of cal mag is really throwing my ppm #'s way up but I did fend off some calcium deficiencies I was seeing.

Next up, pushing the PHA in the ODAP. Going out to the garage to check her ppm level and consider mixing up a new, stronger batch.

Have a great day folks!!!

Morning @Blasting and thanks! He’s changed our lives and though I was dreading it, it’s kinda nice!!
I had two daughter’s and though I always wanted a son, I had a great deal of freedom as the dad of two girls. They were socialized away from helping dad in the yard kinda stuff. It will be an adjustment (huge one) to one day soon having a lad wanting to know all about why I do things. Scary but exciting and thank goodness my passion is legal here so I don’t have to make excuses for why I spend so much time in my “paint room” as my girls were told, lol.

I was proud of my scrog as I always wanted to try it. It was a hassle (and thankfully I never needed to flush) but it was a big success. I’m not sure I would do it again but that’s not because it didn’t produce. I have not even opened the side doors on my tent this grow and I was hanging out of them all the time scrogging (access to rear of screen).

I have really taken to supercropping the tallest stems on my auto’s that get too tall and close to lights. I am finding it almost causes auto’s to explode their growth (altering that hormone in the tallest branch causes lesser branches to pour it on and try to be dominant). I’ve decided to supercrop the mainstem on all of my tent auto’s going forward.

I am in your boat basically and I can’t have a plant that is taller than about 32". Auto’s mostly fit that bill and I shopped for fems (SSH) that have shorter height genetics. For example I was pumped to get pineapple haze beans/clones form a friend until I read the descriptors. No way that PH fem was gonna do well in my tent at nearly 7 feet tall. Anything that large I think you would be forced to scrog in a 5’ tent.
