A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks
Are you able to advise as to the correct distance I should set a 900w Viparspectra LED grow light with 5w globes for just sprouted seedlings? From my research it seems if using 600w light it should be between 25 - 30 inches above the plant but I cannot find a recommendation using a 900w. We live in the tropics of australia so a very warm climate.
I am using your green crack seeds that have just cracked. No pun intended
Any help appreciated

Thanks for the help as I was unsure and this has confirmed what I was thinking but did not want to harm plants if I was wrong.

Rule of thumb, start high and move the lights down if they start to stretch. Too close and you run the risk of light burn/ bleaching. I run my lower wattage leds at 24" above the canopy. 28 to 30" for my flower lights and let the plants grow up to the lights.
Edit: I also scrog my plants so the canopy is even
