Got mine today and it is quieter than my 16" oscillating fan, I barely notice it.

what I got a fan/filter combo 6" fan,carbon filter is like 24"X 12"? puta a fan speed controller on it to slow it sounded like a freekin jet !!! lol

The noise cancelling depends on the model brand, Apollo is one of the top ten brands which is built great for long life and noise cancelation.
