Mine are stretching and following the sun which I know is normal. I still have them inside in the window sill and move them from east to west during the day. It’s ILGM Strawbeery Kush and their 2 days old. Anyone have any tips on anything else that I should do? Thanks.
Try to forget about them haha. That the only advice I can give. Otherwise you might just end up overloving them like I’ve done
I’m a proud poppa, I have noticed that the medium that feels right has the best looking seedling, the one that’s heavy it’s tiny, and the one that’s light in weight hasn’t grown much, I’m learning though. I cant remember the name of who keeps saying happy medium, but their right.
@EarlyPearl Id say put them out side… simple solution Sitting in the window they are going to stretch. If its real hot were you are you might put them where they aren’t in full sun all day and gradually give them more sun exposure.
It’s 90 degrees one day and sunny and 70 the next day and raining. I’m gradually trying to get them to adapt. Wish me luck.
For as long as you have them in a window, I’d at least put a CFL over them to slow down the stretch and try to get some bushiness until you can get them outside.
I’m going to get one today. Thanks

Would this work for a couple of weeks?
@EarlyPearl. I wouldn’t bother with that light. It’s underpowered. The best bang for your buck a Viparspectra $300 watt full spectrum LED. On Amazon for $89… I’ve had my seedlings under 2 of these in my veg/clone tent for 20 days. Here is a pic of them now…
Good luck…
Nice looking plants. I’m just needing a couple of weeks inside and then their going outside permanently. I was wondering if that light would be OK short term.
I purchased two of the 450 watts and they are excellent to prep my seedlings the first 20-30 days running on 24 hrs of light. The data that I’ve collected from each of my grows shows a significant increase of height and overall healthier plants once they are brought outdoors to finish out. I only run the veg lights though.
these are AM Haze and California Dream at 18 days from emerging. -DoomWould the light I posted be OK for a couple of weeks, I only have 3 plants. Thanks.
Nice looking plants.
I started with one 450 (same manufacture and also used amazon) but depending on how large your space is I’d say start with that. It’s a good price and if you want use it exclusively for seedlings it would be perfect imo.
p.s. I want to winter grow indoors so I choose a larger light. My electric bill is almost unchanged with led running 24 hours a day. -Doom
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Here are my winter grow lights currently in flower cycle in this tent…
2, 600 watt with Veg/bloom switches and an 1800 watt COB LED. That baby puts out a lot of red spectrum light!
That’s sweet, looks like a concert setup.
Your light would be fine for what you want to do. I would think 450-300 isn’t much difference.
