I have no experience with that light for that price tho I think I would go with a hlg-600 I just got 1 and I love It but i will tag someone that knows lights and can help you out better @dbrn32

Honestly for that price, you can get way more bang for your buck.

Just wanted a light I could hang not so close to the top of the canopy. I see all the commercial grows with their lights at 5 feet off the top if the plants. still praying I win the HLG 550 off the Light-Depots web site this month too Looking around work for a cool frame for a BIG HLG diy for next year.

The reason you see that is because they’re lighting space not plants. Most of them probably de gavita, it puts off a ton of light so it kinda needs to have some room. Then they space them proportionally to hold light levels.
