Any harm leaving in Veg a few extra weeks?

What’s up growers.

Disclaimer: I am new to growing Photoperiods, only my 3rd grow and 1st two were Autos.

Seems my girls are close to transitioning to flowering stage although I am going away for a few weeks and want to be near them then I change lighting routine. Can I keep them in Veg for another month before transitioning?? Any drawbacks on bud size as they will be closer to the lights?

It’s pretty crowded in there. They will double in size when you do flip them, so I would flip them now.

I would second that you’ve already got a lot going in there I would flip them now

Yea - I can imagine - I have defoliated several times already, heavily at one point and within a few weeks, they filled back in. Must be happy?!

How tall is your grow space ? My grows almost always double in height after the light is reduced .
Oh and the amount of water your plants will need increases dramatically as the plant gets bigger . And it gets bigger exponentially.

Thanks all - will definitely flip them now - what are my main concerns while out of town for a few weeks? They are are auto watering and will have someone come every few days to refill the reservoir.

What do I do if they start flowering too close to the light and can’t raise lights higher? Dim the lighting? Tie buds down?

Double in height? No way - wow!! I have 7’ but will need to readjust the lighting once they get closer.

Will flip them now as everyone suggesting - good I came on and asked…

Indefinitely. Mother Plants are done this way.

Drawback as others noted is they will far surpass the size you think they will. You get larger plants for the longer you veg. This isn’t exponential by any stretch and in fact there’s diminishing return after a point. I veg things for long periods, it has no ill effect except taking over my veg tent entirely with miniature Christmas trees.

Very nice , It’s all about managing your space.
Just keep in mind plants will double in size after the flip. Good luck finishing up ! :v:
