Any experience or advice on this light?

Anyone tell me if this is better light than I have?

This is what I’m currently using:

Or…. Possibly this one? I really want a decent light that I won’t need to worry about the quality or quantity of flower

Any light built with Samsung LM301h diodes is about as good as it gets. The Plessey light states 1.9umol, which is not nearly as effective. Yes, the first one is better.

Phlizon is a burple maker and they are claiming 2000w, which defies the laws of physics. 2000w LEDs don’t exist. I wouldn’t trust Phlizon.

Thank you bro, so you think the first one would be worth it?

You’d need 2 of them for a 4x4 space tho.
It’s only 240 w where your current one is 400 w.

Okay bro, my grow tent is 80x80x160 cm

So In a small ish tent like I have, the one I’m using already would be better?

@Se7en I wouldn’t necessarily say better per se.
It would probably light that space well enough to get some decent flower and yield.
The first light would do it more efficiently tho. $$

With the higher quality lighting iirc it should be 35 or so watts / sq ft.
The first one works out to just over 40 w/sq ft for your tent.
The cheaper made ones require closer to 50 w /sq ft to get similar amount of light to the plant.
Your current one is right at the 50 w mark
A lot of that energy is turned into heat instead of useable light. ( Large heat sink on your current one )
Makes it a bit harder to manage temp and humidity in a smaller space like yours.

Okay thank you so much! So would you so for efficiency and environment the first one would be my better choice even over the one I currently use?

One thing to weigh in your decision is heat management. If the current Plessey lamp creates heat problems, then the LED with LM301h diodes would be a good choice. The LM301h diode model is 50% more efficient than the Plessey lamp, meaning that a lot of that wattage is going toward making heat rather than light in the LED you have now.

You will also save on electricity versus a less efficient LED.

You have personal info on that pic. You should edit it before it locks in.

Thanks Spiney, took care of it.

Oh snap thank you bro! Didn’t even realise that

Yeah the tent gets up to 30C on hot days, which sometimes worries me a little, and will probably be an issue when comes to flower time I’d imagine could cause some problems, I’ll definitely look into upgrading slightly thanks guys

Have you watched any YouTube reviews on these cheap China lights from MIGRO and others? It looks like your in the UK at least by your searches. If I was in the UK I would be looking at MIGRO’s lights. I almost bought some of his lights here in the states. But it just did not look to be what was needed to displace HLG. Might have worked out different for me if I was in the UK. Also just because some POS China manufacture says there using Samsung this or that or claim quantum board, clearly stolen from HLG does not mean they are the same Leds HLG and a scant few others are using. Even if they are the same model number / part number they are cellar dweller trash binned down to nothing. They are crap production HLG and others refused to buy. So that trash goes to the mass POS China producers.

I have never even heard of MIGROS I’ll look into them for sure! And yeah I did think that with seeing some of the typos in the pictures of the ad and specs puts me off hugely :grimacing: “ sumsang “
