Ants in planters!

So I went to check on my girls in my green house and found ants in the pots! I just transplanted 2 of them in 65gal pots 2 weeks ago. I’ve tried cinnamon on the top of soil but hasn’t helped. My question is should I just transplant in different pots again with fresh ffof or should I battle these little pest? I have 2 others in the same green house with no ants I don’t get it.

Never really battled with ants, but i bet some food grade de would run them off.

If you are using a sweetener like molasses may attract them.

If you have ants I’d keep an eye out for aphids. Ants like to farm them .

I think I’m going to transplant them again and then spray them with neem oil just to be safe.

Put diatomaceous earth “food grade” on top of the soil in each pot it will get rid of most if not all of them and won’t harm the plants

Don’t move the plants, evict the ants. Or not. Good luck.

Happy growing…

Second on the DE food grade advice for the ants if you get aphids a different route might be needed but DE should help/solve that ant issue

here’s what your looking for.

If you have a local “feed store” they often have it for cheaper and no shipping
