Hello all. I have another question about watering. I’ve been using one of those meters with the copper and aluminum prongs that gives moisture, ph, and ligh readings. So I keep reading if the top inch is dry then water. Well the top inch is dry but further down it’s wet. Should I let it dry out further?
Soil should dry out almost to the point of plant wilting before watering again. Checking top inch of soil just means plant is drowning. Better method is the ‘pick up pot to see if it’s light’ method.
That 3 in 1 meter is completely worthless and hopefully you have not been using to manage PH.

I agree ,The best way to get a handle on watering is by pick up and checking the weight of the pot and let it dry out between watering.
