Trichomes are looking amber on tips? I thought it was supposed to go cloudy then turn amber? I see patches of only amber ones on certain bud sights. Anybody know the cycle? Especially second pic you can clearly see them on the leaf.
Didn’t load the second pic correct but it’s the last one at the bottom
That plant is ready to chop and hang.
What really? I was told 2-5 more weeks by a few people on another post just a week or so ago. And I don’t see any cloudy bulbs most are clear and some amber? @Graysin @LearnasUgrow @oldmarine @Oldguy @MattyBear @Highwayman420 @Underthestairs @Mark0427 @Pet_de_Chien anybody ? Been getting mixed views on this from people, not saying I don’t trust you @BobbyDigital just heard multiple say 2-5 weeks not long ago so I’m worried now. None of the bulbs are cloudy most very clear
Looks ready to me. It was kinda hard to see all the trichomes but the ones I did see are cloudy. I agree with @BobbyDigital
A couple of things…
First off, it is easier for folks to evaluate and give good advice if you keep your posts in one thread rather than all over the place.
Predicting how long until harvest is just an approximation based upon the information that you provide.
Deciding when to chop is subjective and is also based upon the specific photos that you provide. On top of that, harvest time is very much a personal preference as to what effects you are after.
I totally agree with @merlin44. I like more of a couch lock on my indicas, so I go 20% amber and 80% cloudy at harvest. My sativas are mostly cloudy with slight amber, maybe 5%.
What would you say from the photos they are now as far as cloudy to amber percentages? And also your opinion @merlin44
I just don’t see cloudy idk maybe it’s just me I see more clear it looks like
My opinion is that @BobbyDigital is one of the best on the forum and I would certainly go with his advice.
As you gain experience you will be able to just decide when you believe their ready. Please keep in mind everyone will have a opinion but in the end ,you making the decision is the best way to get the experience needed to be sure that your ladies are ready.
By the pics provided, I’d be filling a 5 gallon bucket with water and a cup of peroxide. Those look good to go. I can personally attest to @BobbyDigital’s harvest times being on point!!
First grow so don’t laugh lol but what’s the water n peroxide for? To flush them? And also I never doubted @BobbyDigital just had so many mixed opinions it worried me. I appreciate all you guys.
@Borderryan22 is referring to a bud rinse after chopping but before hanging. This removes all sorts of crap from the buds and kills mold spores. Many of us, including me, always rinse our buds. Many do not. Again, it is personal preference.
Forgive me for sounding stupid lol but you just literally dip them into it like anything else?
Not stupid at all…I immerse the buds and let them soak for about 30 seconds while GENTLY swishing them. I then let them drip until they stop then hang in the drying area.
Also… @kjcarr24, Kyle Kushman has a great video on utube about washing buds (amongst many other great videos) definitely worth watching!
Good luck and happy growing!
I’ve seen quite a few of his videos! Thanks man!
Looks ready to me too. Enjoy your harvest!
