The leaves arent important, you have to look at the buds

Cant really see if she is ready without close up of trichomes.
Exactly this. To bring the point even finer, the plant will mature from the top down. That being said look for trichomes 1/3 of the way down the plant as well as 1/3 of the way down the bud you are looking at. Looking past the sugar leaves and instead focus on the buds themselves.
