Although the plant is about 7 feet tall and strong and healthy, it has yet to show the first sign of blooming

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

Perhaps you can help me. I have only plant, grown hydroponically indoors under lights (legal and licensed here in Colorado). I planted the seed Dec. 1st, thinking it would flower and be ready to harvest by March. But although the plant is about 7 feet tall and strong and healthy, it has yet to show the first sign of blooming. I cut back the artificial light from 18 hours/day to 12 hours/day 2 weeks ago, hoping to induce flowering. I have to travel in 2 weeks for a month or so, and if I cannot harvest the plant by then, it will probably die unattended. Other than giving it away, any suggestions to push it to flower fast?!?! Thanks!

It’s once you have turned her to 12/12 that you can put her into flower, you’ve got 8 weeks flowering time depending on the strain as long as it’s not an auto and then another 7 to 10 days drying and then curing

With a photo plant your looking at 6 months. You can push it to flower but like @daz49 said, its got a ways to go doing that.

If you switched straight from 18/6, it takes about 2 weeks to show flowering. I learned from a thread on this forum to switch to 16/8 for one week then 14/10 for 2 weeks before switching to 12/12. I get flowers within 7 days from the 12/12 switch.

5 days after the switch

They’ll probably start showing flowers any day now, but you’re going to have a minimum of 8 weeks left before harvest.
