Ahoy Mates! Climb aboard and sail along on Anne Bonny’s first indoor grow. 🏴‍☠️

@bob31, that’s a thought Bob but I’m not sure how to start a journal. It my help prevent me from butting in on someone else’s conversation on their thread. I guess there’s no reason why I can’t share my accomplishments and disasters. How do I begin one? I get the gest of what info is needed to begin, I just don’t know how to insert a title.

Nothing wrong with asking questions @fyr but we can coach you if you do a grow journal.

@bob31, @AnneBonny, It’s your fault now that I have my journal going. I’m just preparing you for some dumb questions. Anne, your girls look way better than mine at that age. How difficult is it to switch to Hydro from Soil?

The best thing about this forum is there are no dumb questions - trust me, if there were, I’ve asked most of them.

@Flyr like @Bogleg said there are no dumb questions. I can’t help you with the hydro question as I have never done hydro. But if you tag @Donaldj to your thread I bet he can help you answer that.

On the flip side I’ve committed a lot of mistakes in hydro and can probably help out on basic stuff.

You are right @Donaldj, A person needs to be on the ball to prevent any problems from getting out of hand.

1/29/18 update
BBA is 6 weeks and 3 days into flower
GG clones are 6 weeks and 3 days in veg and since I got them
GG and GL from seed are 7 weeks and a day old

As you can imagine my poor girls were a little neglected the past 10 days or so while I’ve been sick. I usually water on the weekend and then again Tuesday or Wednesday as needed. That didn’t happen last week as I just didn’t have it in me. They got a good watering on Saturday with just ph’d H2O in but I didn’t measure out due to just not having the energy. The BBA was flushed as I realized I hadn’t flushed her at all yet. The watering/feeding prior to that with full strength FF nutes the ppm’s were 1100 going in and 1230 out and I noticed she has some yellowing on the big fan leaves. I think (hope) it’s just the plant using up it’s energy (or whatever) as it’s happening at the same time the pistils are starting to darken. I wanted to post these for thoughts on that because I looked at the deficiency chart and couldn’t tell. Should I be concerned?

I ended up topping the gorilla glue from seed and fimming the Gold leaf when I watered.

Gorilla Glue

Gold leaf - I took these pictures today so it’s a couple of days after the snip. It’s looking a little funky.

The clones recovered well from super cropping and seem to have taken off after their last feeding.

The photo is darker than I thought but you can see the height they’ve gained since my 1/21 update.

@bob31 @Countryboyjvd1971 @Screwauger @Myfriendis410 @WillyJ @BIGE @Hogmaster @Donaldj Thoughts on the yellowing leaves?

Did you happen to check the tds out during this plain watering? @AnneBonny

My guess is defficiency since you skipped a feeding or so plus maybe not enough water? Were the plants wilted at all during the time you’ve been sick?

I would just feed them again when they’re ready and not sweat it!

i’m with @bob31 get back into your regular grow practices and not sweat it…

I did not as I was just exhausted by the time I was done with everything. Bad move on my part -should of stuck it out. I did wonder if maybe it was the lack of water too. The leaves were a little wilty but not drastically so. I will keep an eye on her and get back on schedule. Thanks @bob31 and @BIGE

Both of my BBA did that last grow. One to the point at harvest there were hardly any fan leaves left.
I have one growing outside now that is about two weeks behind yours. I gave her Cal/Mag at 4 and 8 weeks to see if it helps.

I do give my autos cal-mag at the beginning of flower and half way. And it seems to help them!

You’ll get her turned back around in no time @AnneBonny

Good to know @Rugar89. I will add some Calmag next go round.

2/6/18 - mini update. First here is a little bud porn. This is the biggest cola I’ve grown to date and its on the Blueberry auto:

My grow buddy app says harvest estimate was 2/3 but I’m thinking another 2 probably 3 weeks at least. I have only looked at the trichomes through my magnifying glass and not the microscope but what I see is pretty clear.

The gorilla glue clones are 7 weeks and 4 days and were transplanted to 5 gallon pots last Saturday and I think I will flip to 12/12 this weekend. Flowering time is estimated at 8-9 weeks so I figure harvest will be mid-April

My dilemma, which I knew I was going to have when those clones were given to me (after I had started my Gold Leaf and GG from seed), is that the GL and GG from seed (8 weeks and 2 days old) are going to outgrow the small tent soon, but I won’t be able to put them in the big tent because the big tent will be on 12/12.

Gold leaf with a really f’d up f-i-m that I had to redo as a top.

Gorilla glue with a so/so topping.

They have maybe 6 inches until they are at the top of the shelf/light which will be long before mid-April harvest of the clones and it will still be too cold for outside which I am trying to avoid anyway as my husband asked I not do an outside grow since we will have people in town in June for my daughters wedding (it will just be easier not having the questions be asked even though I am legal). I may be able to buy some time with super cropping some and tie-ing down what I bend to make sure it stays bent. But, I think I need to recruit the husband to put on the thinking cap for a solution cause I’m coming up empty. Otherwise all 4 of them will be in a 4x2 tent in flower and that’s just a scary thought and not a good idea at all. Thanks for stopping by ~ AB

Looks like you have a very happy garden despite the timing issues. I’m sure you will come up with a solution. Looking good @AnneBonny :sunglasses:

Super cropping and tying down will benefit keeping her smaller. You’re doing a great job @AnneBonny legal here also, but I don’t grow outside because I don’t need questions either!
