Advise on flowering

When should you reduce the light cycle on photos? Wait until they start to flower on 18/6 then reduce to 12/12 or reduce to 12/12 to induce flowering? I’m growing Gold Leaf in soil. 34 days in. Just in case you couldn’t tell, I’m new to this.

You will flip once the plant gets where you can fill your grow space.
Remember it will at least double in size once you flip the timer.

Push all the plants to one side of the tent or grow space, when 50% is full, flip and fill the rest with the flower stretch. Also take height into consideration, you don’t want your plants running into the lights. You can use a net and weave the branches under to keep them low.

You flip photos to 12/12

They will not flower on a 18/6 schedule. They will remain in a vegetative state. Photoperiod cannabis needs an extended period of darkness to induce flowering. Besides size considerations the plant has to be mature enough to flower. These hairs tell you the plant is old enough.

I changed the lights to 12/12 the next day. It was a large, fast growing plant and needed to be flipped before it outgrew its available space.
