You can leave then to veg as long as you want or to get them the height you want, just remember that the plant will stretch quite a bit when you flip her to 12/12 say for the first tw weeks or so…

Inside it’s all about how tall they’re going to be. Sativa dominant strains tend to grow more during the first part of flowering stage than Indica dominant strains.
My rule of thumb, sativa I let grow until they’re 1/3 of the way to the lights, Indica’s 1/2 the way to the lights.
You can do other things to keep them short as well, such as topping before flowering.
I suggest you download and read our “Free Grow Bible”. This will get you started on the right path.

hmmm… That seedling looks great. You can place it under light anytime depending on what size lamp you are talking about?
I would keep on letting it stay healthy where it is until it grows a few more alternating leaf nodes.

Maybe you over water them, maybe they are not getting the right amount of nutrients, or maybe you haven’t given them strong enough light?
I give them enough light 18 hrs a day …I saw yesterday in a video clip how to spray water on the plants and just empty a spray bottle and I guess it was not clean enough …sitting here with tears
But you said it has been seven weeks and they look like 5 days?
Something else must have been going on that delayed their development.
