A suitable heater for a 2x2x5 in Australia

Hi Family
Just about to flip my skunk photo and temps here are a bit low.
I was thinking of getting an ink bird wifi controller and a heater. Probably double down on that in the summer with excessive heat but for now looking for an off the shelf heater. Maybe something from bunnings or kmart etc
Any recommendations or Amazon link if nothing suitable
Thanks heaps to everybody who has helped me so far

So i do not know of a specific one to recommend my freind but a “personal desk heater” may be a good option. Some are really small as its a small space.

Or am i over thinking this and there is a cooler/heater fan that is more suitable for a small grow room that is temp controlled automatically?

Don’t try to heat the tent. Heat the space your tent is being kept in. Controlling your lung room is going to make your life easier.

That would be ideal however its in my garage and the space is too large

It’s there a closet in the garage you could use? It’s hard sometimes. And you need to be careful about the heater because it’s easy to burn plants if they get too close.

If you don’t have it jammed with vegetation you can get away with it… and sometimes even when you do

@Underthestairs
Thanks for the replies Bro. No closets or anything to contain my tent.
Im sure ill come up with something just need some thought. Ive just flipped to 12/12 and winter is in full swing here

Hell yeah buddy.

Do you have any pictures from the side? I helped a buddy set something up with a camping tent that he heated and and run his grow tents intake to. That way his exhaust pulled through the heated space.

Don’t know if your space would allow anything like that

@Underthestairs Yes mate that would be the go, that’s why i thought an inkbird controller would be the thing to use. Heated air from one of the side vents when required

I’d say an oil style space heater in the smallest space that’s safe setup that way could work great

Hps light maybe.
I know LED lights is where its at now with advisement of technology.

But hps grows good weed and makes lots of heat.
Many growers use hps in winter for this very reason…
You can pick up a 2nd hand fixture for about what a heater would cost i bet…

From down under myself and concerned about the cold here also.

Though with some research I think I have a solution that is purpose built and low power.

Search for Tubular heater.

The solution! $50 hardware store ceramic heater with temp control. Set at 25 degrees. Ranges from 23 to 27.
Monitored it for an hour and all seems good.

I did consider the small ceramic heater myself, though they are rated @ near 1000 watts or more, so perhaps not the most efficient.

I have the model I pictured above on order, delivered for $107, hope it gets here soon.

My biggest concern with those would be the hot spot heating. You’ll need to have great airflow to avoid burning any plants near it if you can’t dissipate that heat, especially with the forced hot air.

I had good success with one if the oil filled radiator types, but had plenty of burnt plant even with fans directly on it.

I hope this works perfectly for you

Awesome my freind, I hope it works out and I kinda think it will

not heat related but i am interested in what you think of the 2x2x5 tent. due to space issues i am thinking of getting one for some autos - figured their size would work in there

@samiam yes i found space was a bit cramped including height wise. I ended up moving charcoal filter system outside.
Having done my first grow, i would train, trim and scrog differently.
I went for max yield and probably kept it in veg a couple weeks too long
I think with autos you should be ok. I grew photos
