A question for the peanut gallery

Let’s say I have a plant that’s ready to go under 12/12 lights. She’s been receiving a foliage fert (brand name hidden) of 9-3-6 at 50% strength. The next fert would be a bloom fert of 3-12-6, and later another bloom fert of 13-14. Question is, how and when do I switch from foliage fert to bloom: immediately after going under 12/12, or continuing with foliage fert for awhile and than tapering off and gradually adding bloom fert? I’ve had problems in the past with leaves rapidly yellowing and falling off (not as a result of the plant aging as it happened so fast) and I think it may have had something to do with changing the ferts. Any suggestions? Thanks:vulcan:

Personally, I give them flower nutrients once I flip to 12/12

I would have to agree with @ktreez420
I would start feeding it flower nutes first feeding after flipping

If it’s ready to flip than the plant release enough water vapor on its own to where you can go straight from foliage spray into feeding during transition.

I would use this way " continuing with foliage fert for awhile and than tapering off and gradually adding bloom fert? " To me cutting off the plant of it’s nutrient’s does more harm than good.

Maybe I wrote that wrong Garrigan62 but I meant foliage spray as usual but yet he can also pour in the bloom nutrients in transitioning from the spray into just water feeding, hope this make better sense, if not do what garrigan62 and the moderators say for best results.

Cool, @yoshi, not stoned yet so I think I got it. A few more hours and I’d be…duh??? Thanks!

Well garrigan62 is a far more better grower than I am my friend, so I’ll take his advice. I didn’t mean to just stop foliar spraying completely, I meant just spray it lightly but also add bloom nutrients as well until the plant :seedling: transition from one method into the next if that make sense, I’m just a rookie learning as everyone else here my friend.

So flower and flip shall it be. Should I continue with the same dosage or drop a little and come back up?

Best school I’ve ever been too…and not been thrown out of🖒

Thats what i’m saying. Think of it this way

you and the wife have a baby and you have been feeding it milk, but now it’s time to put the baby on solid food, Well you don’t start by giving it steak and potatoes. you slowly and oatmeal to it’s milk and slowly up it till the baby is on complete solid food, Same with the plants to switch and the plant would take only a couple of feedings to make the switch,

NO! No! No more babies! My wife and I have 6 between us (my 4 and her 2 and now grandkids). But yeah, I get what your saying, @garrigan62. Thanks!

Hi all. I am wondering how the F*** can i grow my plants iif i cant even work out how to send a PM🤔

Hi @Flipper01, you can not do PM on the free side…If you want PM support, you’ll have to subscribe to the Bergman’s Lab.

If you want support here, start a grow journal, that will be public, and ask your questions, tag any members and staff and we will gladly accept to do so…

To start a grow journal, go to the category “Grow journals” and hit new topic, make a title and ask your questions.

In hope that’s responding to your questioning…

My question is (may be stupid) but is there a way to tell the different seeds from one another? For example Autos/photos… [quote=“garrigan62, post:11, topic:9047, full:true”]
