Just want to make sure these gals looks okay.

Last year I germinated seeds and tried to start them inside in a window but the seedlings would get leggy and then never survive the transplanting to felt pots outside. I was too neurotic and watched them all the time, overwatered or underwatered them, and none of them ever made it to harvest.

This year I started them outside and the one in the garden is strong and looks great. I also started 3 in my patio planter and transplanted 2 to 45 gallon felt pots.

I noticed a couple of leaves are dark and wonder what it is from:

I have been battling leafhoppers this year and noticed something munched on this new growth last night… any idea what it could’ve been?

And just confirming this is leafhopper damage:

I have sprayed Monterey BT on the plants once and MasterNursery PestFighter to deal with spider mites…

Raising them outdoors means you will have issues. You seem to be on top of them and your plants look healthy. Keep doing what you’re doing.
