So this is my first grow ever. I’m using auto flowering GSC. The pictures are after 6.5-7 weeks. Some things to note:
Light cycle: 18 hours on, 6 hours off
Water: Every 3 days - 1000 ml natural spring water with flowering booster once/week
Humidity: 50% (not sure how to adjust this, not sure if this is just fine the way it is)
Temp: 27-28 degrees Celsius
Some concerns: the bottom of the plant is looking a little yellowish, not the leaves but the stalks/stems themselves. I notice there are sacs at the meeting points but they do have white pistols coming out of them which I saw online is female, but I’m not entirely sure. Other than that I see nice white pistols at the flowering hot spots which I believe look good. My questions for you guys are:
How does everything look?
Anything I need to change or improve?
What are the next steps?
Your plant looks really good, if those “sacks” that you mention are shown in photo #4, those are calix and perfectly normal. There does appear to be pistils coming out of the couple that I can see.
Thanks for all the replies so how much longer do you think this will grow for and what are the next steps that I should do to prepare. I’ve never harvested before or anything like that so what are things I should buy to get ready for that when the time comes?
You have at least 5 weeks remaining, just keep doing what you are doing for now.
When the pistils start turning red/brown it is time to start monitoring your trichomes. When most are cloudy (they start clear) and a few are turning amber, it is time to chop.
There are many techniques that folks use to increase trichomes and what not. Some really do work and some likely are myth. I don’t know which are which LOL.
I start using just water for the last two weeks and usually use ice water during that period. Good luck and don’t get in a big hurry to harvest. Patience will reward you with much denser buds than if you chop a week or two early. They realty fatten up in those last weeks.
For reference, this photo is my current grow (photo period, not autos) and I have at least three weeks before chopping.

Newbie grower and first time poster so sorry if this is not in the correct forum, it is a little confusing for new members! Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on with this plant? It germinated on April 26th and I was sure it was a female but now I am not so sure. Can you guys please give me some insight?
It is a female. Looks like a very sativa dominant strain. She’s starting to flower. Is this an auto? What are your concerns besides if it’s a female (it is) or not?
Hi, thanks for the reply. I found this 1 solo seed in a bag of some orange something or other I bought while back. Not exactly sure what the strain is. I figured Id plant it and see what happens! From the size of the plant and the time that has passed since germinating (almost 11 weeks) what can I expect in terms of yield on a plant of this size and how many more weeks till harvest?
Listen to the Bobby digital one. He knows what he is talking about. He is on point with your yield question. There are too many variables to know- especially since you don’t know what strain it is. She looks good, so give yourself a pat on the back. The first thing to look for are the pistils- the white hairs coming out of the buds. Once they are mostly amber/brown, then look at the tricomes. You will need a jeweler’s loup or pocket microscope to see those. The tricomes will be on the leaves around the buds. They look like tall mushrooms, and will be clear at first. The tricomes give you plant that “frosted” look you see in all the pictures of mature buds/plants. Once th we tricomes become “milky” looking you are very close to harvesting, depending on the effect you want. Bobby D could explain that better than me.
