I have two white widows, a northern lights, and a critical. The critical is bottom left and is very short and Stumpy LOL. My question is should I cut some of the big fan leaves off of these plants or will I risk stunting them.
At this age, my opinion is to not cut anything. Fan leaves are the solar panels. I don’t defol until the 7th or 8th week before the flip and then again at the 21 day flower mark and then only as needed for light penetration and windflow.
The only thing I do during veg is train, top and get my lines sorted and then lollipop when the time is right.
I topped at 4 weeks above
7 weeks - LST and training for 6 mains above
Week 10 before my first actual defol above
Lollipopped and in flower stretchin above
Hope the show and tell helps you to make a good decision based on how you grow.
These are autoflowers
Your grow looks amazingl
Until you gain experience with autos I would not suggest doing anything to them at all. Like stated, leaves produce the sugars the plant uses to build flower. Unless the health of the plant is at risk you should leave them be.
That makes a difference. I grow photos so disregard my advice. Although I understand autos I have not grown any as I like to veg til my canopy is just how I want it before I flip.
