4 Days of non stop rain and cold - Should I harvest?

I prefer wet trimming.

Hi redrum can you bring her inside closer to flowers maturing by a sunny window.
What about an umbrella like @AAA posted a photo of in an outside setting to keep off the rain.
Or just beside the hibiscus in your photo behind your queen.
Best of luck love to hear how you get on the last leg.
Cheers

OK. So my harvest is in, dried and in the process of curing.
This was my first grow and done out doors direct in the soil.
I sprouted 7 seeds in potting soil indoors (all survived) and then transplanted directly into the ground.
Two are unknown (“bag seed”). They are full Sativa (by the looks of it) and still not ready to harvest.
I did a wash after harvest (baking soda and lemon juice), a wet trim and then drying.
Trimmed the buds off of the stems, weighed them and started the curing process.
The outcome was great for a first grow (I think).
1 x OG Kush - 6.8oz dry buds
2 x Hash Plant CBD - 26.2oz dry buds
2 x Green Crack CBD - 36.4oz dry buds
Just shy of 2kg dry buds!!!
What can I do to make sure I don’t loose any of it??!!!

Dam sounds like a great amount you got . There was a saying that I heard and have seen in the forum somewhere . Is sell/get rid of at 12% moisture and smoke it at 8% . But not sure on how to keep it for long periods .

Mate you have been busy.
You could tie your hands behind your back so you dont smoke any.
That be one way not to loose any.
what an amazing haul for first time grow.
Well done you.
Congratulations

How’s it going redrum.
How’s that beautiful plant going up in Auckland.
Counting the days i bet.
Just snipped all my leaves off what i chopped down.
What a job.
Just one plant to go.
Trichomes not there yet on the last plant.
Cut some buds off the remaining bush see what they like

I would dry it first.

Hi @tincupbb
How is it all going.
Im guessing you got your harvest in now after your dramatic finish to the season.
I got 4 plants trimmed and hanging up to dry. Just one more to go but she still growing.
I cut 3 buds off her to compare the difference between now and when she really ready.
Cheers

Hi @benson how are you. How’s that poor Bergman gold doing after your nasty first frost. Is it recovering ok.
I just put one of my spindly bushes with no name into a jar after 4 days of drying.
2 more spindly bushes with no name to jar up tomorrow for curing.
Then the next day my gorrilla will be ready for curing as will 3 cola’s off my last bush thats still growing again no name but my best looking bush this season by far.
Got her seeds from a green fairy.

Hi there, yep still trucking along. Will be good next week when we can do SO much more haha.

Well the Gold Leaf isn’t dead which is good! Still recovering but some sunny days have helped. Interesting there aren’t many hairs on them. Not sure if that’s peculiar to this breed. I’m giving them another few days before I cut. I use a cheap jeweller’s loop to look at the trichomes, and there’s still a lot of clear ones. The smell wafts across the property though!!

I’ve learnt everything from You Tube and ilgm haha.

Thanks for your reply.
I have some gold leaf but got it late in the grow season. Planted a couple seeds loved them to death i think.
Over watered who knows they died.
Next year i could tell you if mine are hairless too.
This week been great bit of rain which could damp off late plants.
Today was a stunning day.
Ive been using my camera macro lens to see the trichomes.
A whole nother world.
Is nother a word. Seems to fit.
From what ive read on trichomes colour.
Clear not ready be real racy experience.Milky
when thc at its optimum.
Lots of amber couch lock you and thc deteriorates.
My last plant ive taken cuttings at clear to milker.
Now im waiting for them to turn more milky amber.
Dry them then cut the rest maybe a week after that.
I pollinated a low bud earlier from what i learnt on here on each plant.
So will have loads seeds.
Be interesting what my gorrilla glue turns out like pollenating it with an unknown strain next generation.
The female thats really nice and still going is the same strain as the male i used to pollen the others.
The seeds are maturing nicely as i left those buds growing when i chopped the rest. Thats strange leaving one branch on your stalk.
Good luck with your grow and smoke.
Let me know if you feel like it.
Always interesting learning.
Cheers

Hi @tincupbb. Are you asking me that question about freezing the leftovers for making edibles at a later date.
I really dont know.
I guess so.
I usually make edibles then freeze them.

Have you got one of those macro attachments for a phone or is a camera? Nice pics

Looking ok now but the weather has turned to shit, so hopefully it will clear up for the next few weeks
