I’m back! I hope. Missed u guys, kinda fell into a slump after losing my mango kush giant, and fell off the grid 4 a while. I’ve been reading incognito 4 the past few days, and hope u guys don’t mind my sudden return. This new start is a lil risky, I just got a 4 day old sprout siting on my roof ATM and was wondering if I can maybe get some advice? This will eventually have to be moved to more a gorilla spot, mostly just trees and Floridian “Jungle”, but I get the feeling that this might work out. It’s nothing special, just some bag seed, and $75 worth of pocket cash I’m willing to spend, so bare with me. RN I got about 3 gal of my “special” soil, just some decent potting soil I’ve used in the past, a couple 5 gals (and a 20g if need be), and a couple bags of my miracle grow dissolve fert, I’ll send the info later(same stuff I used in my other grow). ewww, is probably what ur thinking rn, but this stuff treated me good with ms. Mango, so I’m willing to trust it again. Don’t judge, tryingto follow the godly words known as K.I.S.S, seeing as though it tends to work. I’ll get some pic up later, my phones being a lil screwy, so, until next time
welcome back! lol
Welcome back! I hope this grow goes well for you
Yes Welcome back.
It dosen’t take a hole lot to grow a plant.
You’ll do just fine
Will
Indoor Hydro not an option?
The trees may actually help with our high Summer temps. My BIL grows strictly in the woods and does ok. Granted, he’s not getting maximum yields, but he’s not getting caught either.
Hit me with a tag if you ever have a question…
Thanx for the replies and the warm welcome-back. Sorry for the late reply, been trying to upload my pics, but my phone was on 3G, hopefully it will work now. This is week 1 from sprout:
I understand the appeal of an indoor hydro setup, however my roommate is definetly against it. Apparently the agreement he signed for our rental said ABSOLUTELY NO DRUG RELATED ACTS (all in caps too), probably because this used to be a growers house. I can only assume this due to the light fixtures that are located every 3 feet, and the shed being completely covered in tin foil (the walls, that is). Hell, it even has light fixtures on the ceiling. But, regardless of the circumstances, I must respect the home owners wishes and grow gorilla. There’s a bunch of surrounding forests/jungle in my area, so I’m thinking about a tree top grow.
I’ve never had a problem with summer temps in the past. I can only sprout a seedling on my roof, even at the start/middle of summer, and I haven’t experienced many problems, as long as I start them in direct sunlight, they sprout just fine, in fact they are much more sturdy then those I used to start on the window seal. They might get thirsty a little sooner than most, but it works for me.
Just to check my sources, a close friends told me clear pots kill the roots, can anyone validate that?
I have seen that written on here before, because the roots are light sensitive, not sure if they will kill it but def wont grow as well, maybe just wrap some dark paper or plastic around the cup
I think it’s only UV-C that damages roots. UV-C only comes from the sun. My bud Al knows the answer to this one! @Niala
thanx for the advice, its getting a lil too big for its pot, so ill need to transplant here in a couple days\a week, but ill find something to wrap it with in the meantime.
yes ma’am no problem @deb1
I thought that was the deal too but Al came out with some really good info. I think I would just as soon keep them covered myself, but it shouldn’t hurt them anyway.
Here we go for a nice and cool draw picture graph, lol
Just a quick info: indoor light don’t produce UVC, and UVA, UVB are easely block by dense glass, or any dense material thicker than 1/16 of an inch.

Thanx guys, this site is just as helpful as ever😎 Couldn’t help myself so I decide to take another pic for the sake a a “different view”, it’s about 2 1/2-3in tall, but I recently added some more soil so it’s more like an 1 1/2 now. I’ll start the Nutes next week, starting with the indoor dose, I’ll send a pic a the description.
You won’t need any nutrients until your seed leaves begin to yellow. Those cotyledons feed the seedling at this early stage.
I didn’t mean to cause a misunderstanding, I know that much (no offense BTW), I’m meaning to start to intoduce Nutes after the first set of true leaves have matured, so week 2 or 3, so just about the time the cotyledons start to yellow, possible slightly earlier. I’m a little rusty, so maybe week 2 from sprout is early, however i kinda want to introduce nutes earlier this time around. Last time I waited far too long, and so far these nutes, even if they do come from the often disputed miracle grow, have been good to me so far, so im willing to experiment.
I appreciate ur contributions @FloridaSon
