Well , I’m wrapping up my first grow in a few weeks and I just got a 4x4 today so I’m ready for another round and to get in a good rotation this time. My last and also first grow got root bound and it stunted her bc I didn’t switch from the solo cup fast enough and I only had these little pots.
So 3 or 5 gallon pots ? , plastic , fabric or air pot? and why ?
Thank you !
P.s. my fan , filter and light are coming in the next 2 weeks.
Not really sure that root bound is an issue with cannabis. I’ve grown plants from seed to harvest in solo cups. Right now I’m growing 5 plants in 1 gallon pots. They do require watering more often, so that’s really the only downfall.
Out of curiosity, say a new inside grower said they had 3, 4 week old photos in 3 gallon bags, and a 2½ week auto in a 1 gallon bag, in a 32x32x63. You think this new grower would be in a heap of trouble? I am this newer grower BTW.
I grow four plants in my 3x3 all of the time. You do have to train and shape them to the space. It can easily be done as long as you put in the time to make it work. I would get the auto into a 3 gallon bag. It is the size I used when growing autos. You will also have to deal with the timing differences between the auto & photos. The auto may start flowering sooner than when you want to flip the photos.
@beardless It already has been some work lol. I’ve been tying them down and have them at about 8" tall. I just put the auto in the 1 gallon yesterday. I put it in 1 gallon for space and plus the strain has done horrible so far. I haven’t seen any terrible differences when transplanting (harming the plant) so if she keeps growing the way she is, I just may jump her up to 3 gallons this next weekend. She should start flowering in the next week and a half or so.
