Greetings all. New to the page but not new to forums although this is my only MJ forum participation. Iām trying to find answers to my grow problems. The strange thing is that Iāve had success in the past (years ago) without all the stuff i have nowš¶. Iāll try to put as much info as my brain will allow initiallyā¦
Currently in the middle of week 6. Made the soil in a rush because my wife germinated the seeds without telling me and before ANYTHING was ready but I got it all together. 5 parts plain soil,4 parts peat moss, 2 parts vermiculite, I part manure.
Water: tap water dipped from the top of a large comtainer 2 days after filling. Foxfarm ph down to 6.5 on each watering. Plain water first two -3 weeks, 1/3 dose of veg food 4th week, half dose the next then a full dose with Foxfarm calmag added (3/4 dose) Schedule is merely to water when the soil dries out.
Plants look hungry by the faded light green leaves. But that might be lighting. Can you take pictures from above or closer with natural light or flash. Also make sure that fan is moving and not blowing in one spot all the time. Theyāll get wind burn if not. And most of all welcome to the forum.
Thank you! The fan does not move. I wonāt have time in the coming week to get a different one. I keep it on low, just enough to rustle the leaves a little. And yes the liwer leaves are yellow. I sort of feel like theyāre hinting at giving up. I gave them a good feeding two days ago so maybe another couple of days will tell.
You are measuring the ph of what is going in, are you able to measure the runoff that comes out the bottom of the bucket when you water, both the pH and PPMs? I suspect that the root system is struggling to establish itslef. Your plant is small for its age of six weeks. I think you maybe underwatering, too.
Also; how are you measuring PH? This is very important as PH meters differ in quality and their ability to measure PH. The plant has the appearance of an N deficiency but with your soil mix there should be plenty available. A soil slurry test would be a good idea to see if your soil is out of range for cannabis.
Dolomite lime is a common additive for use as a PH buffer.
Sixpackdad Iāll put measuring runoff next on the list. I donāt have a ppm meter yet as I abiut tapped myself on the current equipment. Can check the ph though as i do have a digital tester.
Myfriends410, I use a digital ph tester for the water and have been getting it to 6.5. I also have a soil tester (donāt know how accurate it truly is) but it keeps showing my soil to be right at 7.1ā¦ Iāll see about getting a test kit tomorrow. Iām color blind so Iāll have my wife look at the results.
well composted manure should have almost no odourā¦BEWARE of compost with BAT GUANO, my friend almost died from inhaling bat shit dust in a cave in Chang Mai in Northern Thailand
Absolutely! Iāll update after another feeding. I thought about doing a heavy feed (maybe 1/4 more) to try and get the soil right but Idk if itās a good idea or notā¦
