So with photos in veg how cold is too cold?

i’ve read that things slow down in the 60s, and at least in soil, to not let the roots get below 65.

Not too bad

I would want to be above 70°F. When it’s colder, the plants metabolism slows down. Those juices flowing and carrying nutrients get sluggish when it gets to cold. And transpiration slows down or halts

43 day old photos can I flip to 12/12 now? Sorry first time photo grow

ya you can flip about any time you want, just depends on what size you want. each strain will stretch at different rates during flower, so that’s the tricky part to figure out. the decision usually comes down to height or width restrictions or harvest goals if you have the luxury of space.

@KinSEDC this is today a bit saggy because it got cold. Rigging something up but it requires the flip so I can do it without blowing fuses :sunglasses:

they look so good. very bushy and great color in their cheeks

so this is only my second grow so you gotta take my advice with a grain of salt… but i’d count on them doubling in height, so see if you have enough room from the max heights of your lights. if you have more room, let’em go. this is the beauty of the photos, you have (in theory!) control over how big they get and less mystery like you have with autos which may grow through your roof. but if they do stretch more than you anticipated you can still train and tie and supercrop if need be. i think a main idea when growing photos in smaller tents is to max out production for the square inches of space you have. if you don’t care about the numbers, then go for it now.

i think scrogs are helpful in planning because you can start tucking branches and you get to see more of what you have to work with and it’s a little easier to make the flip decision when you see the branches getting closer to the edges of the tent. that one on the left may be more of a sativa? she will likely stretch more.

When you can get it to about 75°-83°F you’ll be doing good. They’ll still grow in the cold, just not as fast.

Ran across first issue in kind soil. Looks like a Calmag foliar spray is on the menu tonight. First time having an issue in veg. Probably going to switch to ph’d tap instead of distilled.
