Hello and welcome,
It was a hard decision between OG Kush and pineapple haze. Now being a contest and all you would think I would pick one or the other which I will and it is Pineapple Haze. So I can only fit 4 plants with a scrog so. I really want to grow the OG Kush but if I do I lessen my chances I suppose.
Strain: Pineapple Haze (2plants)
Type: 70% satvia and 30% indica
Breeder: ILGM
Grow Space/size: Shed 4x6x7
Lights: 4 Roleardo LED COB 400watt. Draw from wall is about 196watts. Probably get a meter to test as for the results are not my numbers but what I have gotten from an other grower.
Germination Light: T5 4bulb 2ft length
Medium: Soil # 4 nectar for the gods
Nutrients: Nectar for the Gods, Azos, Mykos, extreme gardening tea
Grow Techniques: 5 gallon fabric pots
Training: Topping LST
Germination soak seeds for 24hrs unless there is a tail. If no tail after 24hrs it is in a damp paper towel it will go. After tail has emerged then straight to soil in solo cups.
Update 1/5/19
Seeds are dropped two pineapple haze.
I found these shot glass size cups perfect for soaking a seed. Aren’t they cute had to have them.
Update 1/6/19
Seed are still floating and just waiting till they sink. Hoping for tails this afternoon and if not they I will transfer them to a paper towel and zip lock. Then that will go into a clothes draw till they pop. Then it is off to get soil ready for there new homes.
Update 1/7/19
Seed were still floating before bed and gave them a tap and they sank. No tails yet. Probably go with the paper towel now. It is 3am and I have to work today so I hope they crack soon. Would like to get them in some soil. Well I just stuck them in a paper towel and see what happens hopefully they will pop today when I get home from work.
PM Update: Seeds both cracked and had a bit of a tail. So off to the nursery and into some soil.
Update 1/8/19
No movement as of yet. Check once before going to work to make sure they are damp enough. Been able to keep humidity at about 80% while the rest of the room is in the 30-40%. Temps are low 80s so I cracked the vents and will check the temp as well. I figure sometime today they will pop and when I get home hopefully they will have broken the soil.
Update 1/9/19
One has broken the surface. Waiting for the other one which hopefully will pop soon. I will be kind of bummed if I have to start another seed.
Update 1/10/19
Still waiting for the other one to pop out of the soil.
Update 1/11/19
I see green on the second plant it is just about out of the soil. So by the time I get home from work It should be above the ground.
Update 1/13/19
So I am still waiting for the second one to emerge from the soil. It is strange I can see the 2 round leaves and that is all that is sticking out of the soil. Very strange I may be dropping another seed. I have had runts before and they never really seem to work out. Always a low yield or fluffy buds. It is slow going so I give it maybe a day or 2 then need to decide. Plant #2 is doing fine growing like it should.
So no idea what is going on with this one.It has been like this for a long time. Definitely stalled in growing. I had to dig it out and it is barely growing. I am thinking I will be dropping another seed. I give it a day or two…maybe haha
Crappy pic but you get the idea it is growing at least.
Update 1/14/19
Dropped another seed this morning. The one that is barely coming through the soil is going way to slow and no improvement. Even if it does grow I just have that feeling it is going to be a problem and have issues. The other plant is already getting a second set of leaves.
Good thinking on my part to drop another seed. I just checked on it and the tail was still in the seed the only thing that came out of the seed was the round leaves everything else was still in seed.
Update 1/16/19
Well the seed finally got a tail and so into the soil it went this morning. It is going to be a strong grower so hope it pops by the time I get home from work.
Update 1/19/19
Well it didn’t pop when I got home from work. The seed itself was sticking out of the soil and didn’t look to good. So I covered it up with some soil and sprayed down. Now that was Thursday . So then I get the flu and down and out. Never got back out to check on them until this morning and I was surprised to see it up and looking good. It is going to be a winner.
Update 1/21/19
This is the one that just popped and is behind but not a problem. There will be no special treatment for her she lives she lives and oh she will.
This one is doing well and it is getting almost to big for the dome. Which leads me into a project I am working on in the nursery. I trying to shuffle around harvesting drying finishing and nursing these little ones. I have to improve nursery but need supply and will have to do that soon.
update 1/27/19
Transplanted to gallon pot. Hit with some nutrients. So far going good.
update 2/4/19
So they have gone from the one gallon pot to the 5 gallon bags. They now are under the big lights. Transplant with mykos and azos and added some nutrients at the same time. So far things are lush and green.
update 2/5/19
They are very happy in there final 5 gallon bags.
update 2/17
I think I am a little late on the update but here we are. They are doing very good the topping has taken nicely. LST is going good for the first time.
Plan on vegging for about 25 days or so. Then switch light schedule.
