Welcome to the community , Beautiful plant I would leave her till the 1st frost , cannabis plants are tougher than you think.
Thanks kellydans
Looks like our first frost is coming tonight… probably recommended to bring them in for frost warnings?
Yeah , if possible I would bring plants in out of the frost.
Here’s some pics of the smaller one… I call her sweet Sammy don’t know the strain and I suspect sativa
Cool weather starting to show a little color.
Very nice
Keep a close eye once the hairs start to turn red. I am only going by the vast amount of knowledge obtained here and experience. Next time include some below canopy pics. They are helpful. Keep up the great work.
On Sweet Sammy I’ve notice a drastic difference in the amount of hairs… should I be concerned with that?
IMO no. She looks great. Out of four sour diesel plants one had less Hairs than the other and it turned out to be a better smoke or just as good.
Super Glad to hear…I was feeling a bit concerned for her… these plants are so drastically different…I’m feeling some what comfortable with purple ray and where she is at…but sweet Sammy I feel is a little further along in the maturity process and may be done sooner…
BayKush sounds like you had a good grow this year…are yours harvested already?
10/16/21 Sweet Sammy
Trichomes.
Lookin sweet
Thanks MeEasy… I’m starting to see what you meant about them being young on my first pics!..starting to see the lady love Saks develop…
Ha…sweet Sammy started first, or they were more visible atleast… and now starting to see the similarities with purple Rae…[it’s been a learning process]
At this point I’m assuming that I need to keep a pretty good eye on them… and try to produce as much bud growth without damaging them.
Or start seeing a lot more Amber hairs with possible Amber trichomes… that would determine the plant is ready.
Is that a fair assessment?
As long as there’s still white pistils (hairs) it’s still growing but as it ripens you will see fewer white ones. Some plants the pistils will all change some will have white ones to the end. As they ripen the trichomes amber and start degrading turning to cbn which is what gives you the couch lock. Some people like to harvest when trichomes turn all cloudy this is peak thc and the high is more of a head high kinda energetic some like a mixture of cloudy n amber and some want couch lock more amber more cbn. Here’s a picture that will give you a visual of what the difference looks like
Thanks…I’ll keep a good eye on them
