1st Time Grow Question

I’ve a couple of MIMOSA X ORANGE PUNCH Babys here :yum:
They are now exactly 4 weeks old.
I transplanted the plants last week and still need to transplant them into the end pots sooner or later

  • do they look ok for their age?
  • Is 350 ppfd enough light in this stage?
  • One of them has a slight discoloration on a leaf at the bottom. Can you narrow down what this comes from?
  • when is the latest I can transplant the plants before the flowering phase begins?
  • Since it is my first attempt I have not really planned with training but you can never start early enough to learn, so I could start now with LTS or Topping?

They look great but definitely time to transplant and you can start to increase your PPFD

i think i transplanted them last wednesday and they have made a big leap within a week.
I thought they could stay longer in this airpots  so it wouldnt hurt them to transplant them a week later to the end pot?

Photone App says 250-600 ppfd. So i could go up to 400-500 ppfd now?

You can replant just be careful. Are you ph’ing your water?

Very happy looking plants. Just gettingbtoo big for her pants pot. Needs root room. Maybe a crop top if ya wanna. i use 5 or 7 gallon cloth bags. 5 gal for autos 7 for photo. Keep us posted. I love growing pot!

Looking nice and healthy Growmie! What size pots are those, I’m a fan of 1 transplant and would let them go :love_you_gesture:

Those are 3,5 litre airpot. I also used 1L airpot for the first three weeks.
If I would have know they only last a week in the 3,5 pots I would have skipped this size.
I have some normal 3 gallon pots here but I think I will try some clothe bags.

Light schedule is 18/6 with approx 300-400. not every spot has same ppfd when I measured with proton app

Do I need to wait for topping or can I just do it during transplanting?

No so far I use just tap water. I looked up the water test results from our city and they are ok but of course that doesn’t have to be same for my tap water.

I wonder because it looks like possible ph problem or something else at the root level. Make sure not to over-water and maybe give her some microbes like Recharge or Great White.

I grow exclusively in 3 gallon fab bags with good success. This size helps with growing several plants in a smaller space with training :love_you_gesture:

So i topped my plants and put them in grow bags.
They are now 38 days old. They seem ok just the bottom leaves are showing nutrients burn but this could also be from the soil.

How do I know I can switch from vegetative to flowering?can you tell just by looking at the plant currently?

@Kakerlake
They look pretty good. You can switch them to flower anytime you like. ( If they are photos) They will most likely double in height during flower stage.
Depends on if you have any height restrictions to keep your distance from the light to the plants.

Yes these photos, my tent is 6,5 ft.
They are currently 1,2 ft (growbag is 1 ft)
I need at least 1,4 ft for lights and all the other stuff.

So if I double the plant would be 4,6 ft at the moment.
I guess I also need at least another 1 feet distance from light to flower.

That would leave 1 ft available for emergency
Does this make sense

Flip em now and be prepared for the stretch. You might need to gently tie down some branches.

This is where I have trouble. I like to just bend them over.
His advise would probably be better.

Considering this is their first time, you have to be gentle :rofl: after a few grows, the gentle will be removed :rofl:

So i was gentle and removed some leaves, bended them with a special Clothespin technique. Also topped one more time ( not sure if this was a good idea)

I didn’t want to remove too much leaves but I guess I could’ve removed more.

I probably should wait a week now and than flip but maybe if they continue to grow I will flip earlier
