1st ILGM grow - Superskunk(fem)

Seriously, I’m Irish and I think the predetermination to grow things in inherent in my genetics. I do love it and live it (as evidenced by the property I chose). I love fresh tomatoes too, but if I can find a good farmers market that saves me the time and trouble, I’m good with paying others for their ‘love’

Funny about the tomatoes as I just gave my “daughter” a 2 gallon bucket full this morning. I didn’t get them washed in time for the local food bank and was glad to find a home for them. I’m trying to work on some other things and not up to teaching myself to can this year. Besides, she makes a tasty salsa and I will get some

Actually, I saw an article about growing them in hay-bales. Still haven’t tried that one.

Yep. You can grow in straw bales. I grew one in 1973 in straw. Those plants are protecting Sassy and I don’t water or feed them. Maybe next year I’ll try growing them properly :+1:

@elheffe702 Feel free to continue the discussion here. This is the 716

Outstanding! I don’t do well on water unless there’s a fishing pole in my hand

One thing to watch for is the socialist fallacy of the “evil rich businessman” where they envision scrooge mc-duck sitting on a pile of gold and counting it all day.

Lol out of likes. I envision that duck, but it’s me! Lol

And if you think Trump is not playing 3-d chess while the media losers are playing tic-tac-toe (and going second) you are sorely mistaken. They are all just mad that the process they have created to attain personal wealth via “public service” is being dismantled. They are hoping to re-take the senate and repeal the tax cuts before you vote in November, so you don’t see the real benefits when we file next year.

Corporations already see the benefit because they pay taxes quarterly, at a minimum. All we’ve seen so far is a reduction in what they withhold.

Simple fact - you don’t need as much funding for food stamps if there aren’t as many customers…

There’s also the solid fact that I have survived every “Trump-Armageddon” they have predicted, with little or no ill effect LOL

I think there are seven or eight so far

Anyway, back to weed. Since I soaked them both today, with nutes, I guess the big decision will come Wednesday to see if Petunia needs watering yet or not. Pretty confident Nancy will almost double her size this week and be crying for more by then

Nothing but leaf-tucking, and I think all the bottom future-cola are above the lower leaves.

Should take off with new nutes and no shade from the fim-cut leaves.

Might have been because the pots were soaked, but I had to shut off the humidifier last night (on timer) I set it to come on for about a half hour every few to see how that goes. Shouldn’t need it at all in flower.

Messed up and could have added another quart of dirt to Nancy’s pot before I planted. They look about even height, but there’s about an inch less soil in her pot. 9 and 10 inches tall. and already have a couple-dozen flower-sites. Each. Some of the lower shoots are up to 3 and still going.

Stoner thought on leaf-pruning.

So far, patience and nudging have worked. While the fan leaves shade the lower stuff, they do important work.
When the shoots finally get taller than the fan leaves, they do not shade that leaf - it still does work.

Also, I don’t think this applies to the tiny first-leaves and stuff that are shaded from the get-go and don’t do much work.

Thoughts?
