Should i burry this clone a bit more and top it right away??

I am new at this, and am honored that my grow makes you want to ask me - but I am still learning. I have no clue what is going on there. If you start a thread, and label it “HELP! Gangly plant!” or something like that, people smarter than me will pop in because they are curious (and very helpful)

Question time! I have 11 tops above the canopy, and this little double girl getting no light. Sacrifice? Try cloning? Let it go?

Next question - to have 22 cola or 11… When can I top again? I was waiting until they were showing good open leaves, but does that matter?

I might FIM one or two to see the difference.

You need to start your own journal. This is @Whodat66 journal. You will get more responses as well.

@Myfriendis410 I believe he did start one I’ll see if I can find it and tag you in bro

I have had this happen twice in this thread, it’s no problem. The site is hard to navigate at first until you get used to it.

I am patient and an educator

After 5 grows and dealing with the understory growth and the popcorn buds I’m being more hard hearted about growth down low. If it were me I’d chop it out.

Topping is your preference but I like em close so usually try to clip as soon as it’s safe to differentiate between the tips.

Thanks! I’m not set up for cloning, and I don’t know if it is viable anyway, might try a “stick it in water in the sunshine and see what happens”…

Here is my first porn pic of the grow. I do not have small hands…

@Whodat66
I will use a technique called lollipoping sometimes you basically remove anything low on stem
I usually do this outdoors cause the plants are taller
Indoor I keep mine short but still remove anything about 3 above soil line and below especially once I start to flower
So energy is wasted on popcorn buds :+1:
And as far as the thread jumping some time Newbies just don’t know better and need to be directed which I know that’s all you where doing @Myfriendis410

I circled a few examples, but all of them have separation (except for the main-cola top I just did) Few of them have anything but baby-sprouts though.

If you wanted to you can top all of them
You’ll need to veg longer tho and may have issue supporting it self later
I personally only top once per grow per plant but have done the multiple thing

I have only topped the main cola, and they aren’t snippable yet anyway, so this will be the first top for each of the other stems. Is that what you mean?

No I meant I only top the plant once
You pick good locations for fimming or topping if you wanted to

Conversely, I could flip her right now and let it go.

In a 5gal pot, would that be best for supporting her later?

Yeas you can lol @Whodat66
If you too it you’ll need to veg two extra weeks or more so it’s up to you
@Whodat66 I use bamboo sticks and green garden tie to help support them if needed

I meant if I do one top on each of the ones I haven’t touched, I’ll have about 20 cola. is that an issue for the 5 gallon pot to support, or will she grow within her limitations?

Meaning, would I get a dozen huge buds and/or 2 dozen medium ones - or 2 dozen big ones?
