The Cult of the Waving Girls

Also known as why all of a sudden do my plants wave at the ceiling???

So yesterday maybe an hour or so after I fed nutes I looked in and on five of the six plants I fed the top leaves looked like they were clapping above their head, it look like somebody put a gun on them and said reach for the sky, for lack of a better way to explain it …I have a couple pictures

First I thought the newts were too strong then I thought maybe the water was too cold but neither of these were actually to the extreme

When the lights came on last night they looked fine, just an hour ago they looked fine but just now I looked in (about an hour before the lights go off, the same time this happened yesterday) and two of the plants are reaching up ??? (that bottom picture is from today)

I have no idea on this one at this point, any input, anyone seen this? @garrigan62 @Majiktoker @Donaldj @Aquaponic_Dumme

Thank you in advance for any help!

Edit: assuming everything else is in order, the temperatures are 64 / 72

@Paranorman

Generally, any plant will grow faster and produce higher yields if its environment is conducive and cannabis crops are no exception. They will definitely grow and develop fully and provide their grower with a good harvest if the conditions for an ideal environment are met. I believe this is what you have going on and they are loving it. It shows in the plant
keep it up and you shall be rewarded,

That’s exactly when it happens…! lol I don’t know it kind of freaked me out at first but I’ll take it as all good…!

Nothing in the environment has changed that I can see and I haven’t changed anything and they are jumping up at least an inch a day, and bushing out too…! Thanks for the input gentleman, I appreciate it

I am…! …this is my first time ever writing anything down

I’m taking sick notes that’s why I couldn’t figure this out the newts weren’t too strong and the water wasn’t too cold but this happened about an hour after I watered so that was my first suspect

… soon as said was this happens an hour before lights off that answered it for me because that’s exactly when it happened, I went down for breakfast came back up and they’re waving at the ceiling, kind of freaked me out a little…!

The 8-ball kush is also waving so that’s the good, later on today when I put up pictures of some issues my Autos are having maybe not so good LOL …it’s always something good with the bad I guess, thanks again gentlemen I appreciate it

This but was being a smartass appearantly backfired on me lol cause it made no sence

Glad I can help, it happens with one particular plant in my room the

@Paranorman I know you warmed your water some by putting it on a grow mat. I don’t have enough room to do that. Any thought on a plan b? anyone? I’m just spraying water and I keep it in the grow tent and its showing 75 ish in there but the water feels pretty cold to the touch. feels cold to me but that is the temp in my tent and most likely the temp of my soil?

What exactly are you trying to do @bob31

@Majiktoker I’m just trying to understand if I should warm up my water some before I spray it? Or is keeping the spray bottle inside my tent good enough?

Keeping spray bottle in tent should be good enough for them, FYI the cooler the water is the more oxygen it has @bob31

I was under the impression that cold water was a shock to the roots so I have been letting mine warm up to room temp in the tent . My tap water is 47 though now that it is winter will it be okay to not have to mess with letting it warm up ? Im all on board with one less thing to do

No I give mine cold water and they grow perfect, and maybe let it warm up a tad bit like 3 degrees and it will be fine

As it sits for 24 hours I like to let it come to the temperature of the tent, if I have space I’ll pop it on a propagation mat for an hour or so but that doesn’t usually happen lol
