I’m looking at the PAR chart for the (site) and it seems like the PAR values are really restricted to the center area under the light. Here’s the chart:
Is this typical of LED’s? Are they that directional in nature?
They all seem to be this way, that’s why instead of buying 1 light say at 900 watts, like I did, it’s probably better to have. 2 450 watt because of footprint… I have added 2 300 watt mars hydro to increase my footprint… Hope that helps! @garberfc

It’s not led’s as a whole, more like those particular led fixtures. That is a high output over a small area, and looks about right for what you should expect from it. It’s also the reason cob, strip, and quantam board fixtures are so popular. Rather than have all that intensity over a small area you can speak it out to create more even canopy coverage.
