Last Plant Standing

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks.

"Due to some health issues I was unable to germinate the seeds until the first of June and I live in Scottsdale, AZ. Of the ten seeds I received only seven produced plants and I followed the instructions in the video exactly.

Of the seven plants that sprouted all quickly grew to a height of 2-3 inches and were very spindly and lacked almost any green. I transplanted the plants to an outdoor area that I have used for the past five years for growing and within 3 days only 1 plant remains alive. I realize that it is late in the year to be starting plants but I had no choice – did the heat possibly kill the new plants or what could be the cause of their demise.

Any information on what could my problem would be appreciated."

Here’s a little information on hardening off, getting your plants used to the outdoors slowly…direct sunlight and heat may have been too intense without letting the plants get used to it.
